Hi again.
The cats are real characters. Mack is the black and white one and Mabel is the tabby. She tends to catch the mice/lizards and then Mack plays with them as he is too lazy to catch them himself.
The coldframes were made out of my packing cases which I used to move here. I bought some thick plastic (and there lies another story - try asking for plastic to make coldframes if you don't speak the language and he does not speak English - but we managed!) and I cut out the sides and top and then just stapled the plastic. Will probably only last a season but it's a start.

Excellent way of using your packing cases and the cats look as if they love them! So it's the female cat who does all the work then, hmmmmmm, sounds familiar!

Hi Kathy,
Yes as usual the girls get to look after the men!!! I have already had about 3 fieldmice brought to me and have lost count of the lizards she has brought iin. Unfortunately she likes to bring them in and hide under the settee and play with them. Yeuch!

Nice pictures of your cats.
I wish that we had lizards around here - I love to watch them. We went to a garden centre at the weekend where they sold all sorts of lizards, frogs, snakes and tortoises but I would much rather see them in their natural environment

They are rather fascinating. Sometimes a bit too quick to watch. they move like lightening. Best in the moring before they have warmed up. They have snakes here too but luckily I have not seen any.

I love cats, sadley my old girl passed away last year,so I am having a break from pets for a while,the only thing i didn't like is when they fetch in live things especially Mice I am a wuss I know but I just can't stand mice

sorry about your cat. you do get so fond of them and it leaves a big gap. I did not have a cat for a good while before I came here and I did miss not having cats. I too am a big wuss like you as I have to get the brush to get the "presents" out of the house. It was quite a shock when I came here as the locals generally dont believe in having animals as pets and keep dogs tied up outside all the time. you never see a dog going for a walk with it's owner. Very sad really.
