I never bother with it but oldest daughter insists, likes her clothes to "smell nice" and doesn't like plain fresh air! Methinks she's a bit of a cuckoo in the nest, I never bought her up with fabric softeners!
Anyway, I found the following recipe and she loves it, better than the "real thing" she says.
1 cup of bicarbonate of soda (cheap as chips in Chinese supermarkets)
1 cup of white distilled vinegar
2 cups of hot water
few drops of essential oil of your choice (daughter likes orange and lemon together)
Combine everything in a very large jug over the sink as the bicarb fizzes up lots! Mix before use and go easy on the oil, too much will stain your clothes.

Excellent, does it keep in a bottle then?
Aqui
how much do you use per wash?

It keeps fine Libby, the vinegar preserves it. I use an old laundry liquid bottle to keep it in. About 2 tbls Aqui, I just sploosh a wee bit in really.

That's very similar to the recipe I use to make cream cleaner!

yep, bi-carb is excellent for cleaning.......us it with lemon juice and with a little elbow grease, most stains in sinks baths loos can be removed......ideal if you have a septic tank

I'll give that a whirl! I use oils in burners, so its ylang ylang and neroli; see if it has the Lynx effect
Fat chance
