Horse BookI got the BHS complete Horse and Pony Care book for Christmas and it is very good, particually if you are a first time horse owner/buyer, or need to refresh your knowledge.

That looks like a nice book Becki I didn't realise just how much I've forgotten about keeping horses. I might add that to my birthday wish list it will probably make useful reading

I've got a stash of horsecare books if anyone would like to borrow them. I can't quite squeeze a horse in the garden as well as everything else at the moment!

I still have all of mine from the last 50 years of collecting - not that I'm a hoarder, you understand! I prefer the antiquarian ones these days though.

Have you sat any of the stages TGM and are you hoping to do some teaching?

I have Horse owners I and II and have done some riding and stable management tests with ABRS and Riding and Road safety. I help out with RDA when I can. I am not a completely confident rider so wouldn't teach but when I am in a position to own our own horses I want to feel I can be a little bit less then ignorant and not cause any suffering.
