Horse Radish Sauce

Does anyone have a recipie for making this please. Laughing
Kathy

Lots of different recipes out there but this is a traditional type one!

Ingredients
1 root horseradish, washed and peeled
1 teaspoon vinegar
2 teaspoons lemon juice
4 tablespoons double cream
2 tablespoons single cream
pinch of mustard powder
salt and pepper

Method
- Grate the horseradish (be careful of the strong fumes).
- Put 3 tablespoons of grated horseradish into a mixing bowl and add the lemon juice.
- Mix together well.
- Add the vinegar, mustard powder and cream.
- Stir until well blended.
- Taste cautiously (it may be very hot) and add salt and pepper as required.

I haven't had homemade horseradish in years. Nobody in my house likes 'red beef' and I refuse to buy it to overcook it  Sad

Well Libby, I use it to put a spark into my mash potato, or coleslaw or potato salad, not a lot but it does improve it.  sunny
