For the last 20 years we have been living in rural West Wales, in a huge old rambling farmhouse, 22 rooms at the last count (and I hate housework!) We have gradually reinstated formerly derelict rooms and turned it into a lovely if untidy family home. Outside we have 5 1/2 acres and outbuildings.
Becki

We have just moved from a 4 bed detached in Swindon with a miniscule garden puker to a 4 bed + annex semi with a huge garden in Devon.
Lizzie

We live in a single storey, 2 bedroomed stone farm cottage.

It's tiny, but there're only two of us, and the views are great Very Happy
Aqui

We have a 2-bed (well 1-bed and a box room aka the room of chaos) 1st floor 1950s maisonette in Greater London. The garden is about 25x25ft. I love our home, but now I'd like to have 2 floors, somewhere to eat and a garden about 4 times the size!
Libby

A 3 large bed, mid terrace cottage built in the 1860 out in rural Wiltshire. It used to be really quite here hardly any traffic but it gets busier and busier every day!
Jojo

Three bed detached bungalow five mins walk from the sea front lovely Smile

4 bed council house, in the regency town of cheltenham, but the bit that isnt mentioned in the tourist guides, it can be quite exciting/intresting, great for people watching, but we have to drive for at least 15 mins before we see a field!
browneyes

lloyd

3 bed 1960's semi in a rural (ish) village, 5 min walk to fields and rivers, 5 min drive to farm for shooting, good size gardens for chickens and veg patch. Cabbage has livedhere forever, I moved in about 15 months ago or so. Before that I was about as stickified as you can imagine!!
mogs

3 bed brick built house, inc large kitchen with aga, boot room, dining room, living room and lounge.
there is a large back yard, 1/3 acre garden, numerous outbuildings including haybarn, machine shed and bird sheds.
we have a large gated farmtrack into the garden, leading to 33 acres of grazing land aswell as 3 acres of ancient oak woodland ( every tree has a preservation order on it ) and it is all on the side of a steep mountain !!
in the fields there are several field shelters, a large cowshed ( not used for cows but goats lol ) some old mine buildings ( land used to have a colliery on it many years ago)
we are now in the process of erecting new stables in the fields, and thinking about having an extention build on the house.
gluttens for punishment or what..... Laughing

we bought this place as a stepping stone, as we would either like a bigger house, or go to the extreme and have a stone built farm cottage, but to be honest we are quite happy and settled here, and i absolutely HATE moving....fofl.
Beadgarden

3 bed end of terrace on corner plot and to me its a luxury! I moved from an small upstairs maisonette when I was 8 months pregnant with my third baby.

Wow.  I didn't know there were so many different types of houses.  Nice to be back on line and hope to stay here this time.
Becki

Welcome back Very Happy
Jacky

Our house is a four bedroom modern terrace (4 houses), with a reasonable size back garden but no front garden at all.

We live on the bounderies of the countryside just 2 miles from the Ridgeway Trail, however we are surrounded by farms and Clouts Wood.

Just 3.5 miles from Swindon which takes just 25 minutes on a bike, using the old canal path right into the middle of the town centre.
Kathy

Didn't you used to live in Swindon Becki?
Cabbagepatch

Which area of Swindon is that DF?  I have relatives in Swindon harking back several generations!
Becki

Yes, Swindon was where I used to live Very Happy
Libby

I live in Wroughton which is an equal distance between J15 and J16, south of the M4.
J15 leads on to either the A419 (North) or to Marlborough (South).  J16 leads into West Swindon and Wootton Bassett.  The main village road leads to Avebury.
