how is everyone doing on the knitting front?

just abou to finish a nice little 3/4 sleeve top i started way back in may (i think), with vintage wool and a pattern from my very own brain. took me so long because i had to unravel some bits a few times, then the heatwave came we,, and you can imagine the rest!

(wouldn't touch the thing with a bargepole if i had one!)

so, only days away from finishing this, i am thinking about what next?!

a jumper/cardigan i think, saw some nice stuff on crafster.org

just wondering if anyone has seen anything nice about? what will be the trend/fashion thing this autumn, anyoe know??

*off to check out knitty.com for the first time in months!

Not started anything yet Svea - on the knitting front - but when the allotment and harvesting slows down to a drip, and the rain is a pain, then I am going to have a go at Leonie's fingerless mitts challenge Rolling Eyes

Then if I get the hang of it, I am going to make a pair out of n's hand dyed wool.

But I need to do a practice run - well slow crawl first.

(Pause for sympathy Wink ) - No one ever taught me how to knit or sew or cook Crying or Very sad

But I taught myself everything except knitting - and that is next on the agenda Laughing

I've knitted one fingerless glove since finishing the fingerless mitts. Must finish the other one to make a pair, but been a tab busy these last couple weeks. Next week schools are back so I should have a little more time, I hope Very Happy I want to try felting too and have seen a felted bag pattern I quite like on knitty. Very Happy Post a photo when you're finished Svea, I'd love to see it.

I'm knitting a beanie hat for OH from my Bushcraft yarn. I'm so used to doing socks with 64 stitches, 160 on a round is a bit of a shock to the system!
I'm doing them on a 60cm circular needle (he has a big head!), but I'll need to change to dpn's soon for the decreases.
I'm one of those people who likes to finish one project before I start the next one, I know if I tried to do more than one at a time I would suffer from Second Sock Syndrome.
My next project is either this...

Ancient Bark
(but in a slightly smaller version, more like a neck cowl than a head cowl)

or this...

Brickwork

The second one has a neckwarmer size which I can knit with one skein of my handyed yarn, so I'm planning to do that, possibly in the Sock Club yarn so it's ready to post when the Club blog goes live.
I have the patterns, I just need to finish the beanie first.

Nice blog Svea, another one to add to my reading list Very Happy

I started knitting a beanie hat for me a few weeks back. Trouble is, I'm still on the 24 rows of rib. It takes me about 10 mins to do a row (72 stitches - is my head really that big?) and I can only do three rows a day or my hands seize up!

And then I want to knit a baby hat, but I need to get a plain pattern first (all of my mum's are way too fancy and I just don't understand!)

And then I plan to make several pairs of socks for me for lazing about at home - I do get very cold feet! I think I might be able to finish some just in time for the summer!

Apologies, the last post looked very advertisement-ish and it wasn't intended that way.
Because I'm mostly knitting samples, all my knitting is with my own yarn so it's pretty much unavoidable!
