Last year, on another forum D organised a Bran tub (secret santa) (great idea)
I made a gardening apron, which had pockets to put all your bits in like gloves, seeds, markers, pen .
It could be used around the waist or fastened onto your bucket while you were weeding, to have everything close at hand. The person that recieved it was Kathy and she seemed to be pleased with it. I also made one for D for a Chrissie present.
Take care all
Gill X

Can anyone post a photo of it? I've found a gardening apron here http://www.sewing.org/enthusiast/html/ef_gardeningapron.html which I thought was quite nice and something I might make as a christmas present, not sure who to give it to though.

Great present Gill and great website there Jesse, love the sewing for your pets section!
The one Gill made me is the same as the one there but without the bib.

That's so cute. And so clean. If it was mine, it would be covered in compost smears and probably slightly torn too!

I keep hinting to Mr Aqui that I wanted an apron, but he forget to get me one for my birthday! You've finally given me the idea that maybe I could make one. I haven't used a sowing machine since HE at school (about 17 years ago!) and I wasn't very good then. But I must try it, if MIL will lend me her machine! I also need to make a cover for a chair (it's orange, in our purple room!)

Go for it Aqui - I am still dithering about attempting to make an apron - too many other things going on instead that are new and exciting.
Blame it on the great people on this site and all the ideas.

I made for my father's birthday, a hamper of home made produce. Hope to do the same for Christmas presents too shortly. Chutney, sauces, pickles, pate's and a few cheeses with packets of cheese bickies. Oh, and pesto of course.
