Some of you may remember that I had trouble with my 2 litter sister Springers. They were fighting alot and the vets fees were enormous!
I thought I'd give you an update.
We seperated them both in dog cages side by side. I booked them in to the vets to be spade. Daisy was done but Jessie had to go on medicine to dry up milk, it seems she was having a phantom pregnancy, or was permenantly in season. She was spade a few weeks later.
We gave them a month to get used to the whole idea and then slowly introduced them again. After the first few times they were so obviously desperate to be together we just held our breaths and let them out.
They are now permenantly back together again They still have the odd growl obviously and Jessie is clearly still the top dog but all is well in the Rutty household. For now
nanny-now and forever
congratulations becki
hopefully all's well that ends well then
the cost of spaying two dogs has to be cheaper than all the stitches
i ought to know....

Oh well done you Becki - it's awful when they fight isn't it? I'm so glad they've got themselves sorted out.
We always get our dogs spayed as a matter of course as we've always had rescue dogs and it's usually part of the requirements for taking them from the shelters.
