I'm looking for a tried and tested recipe for lemon curd, and I've read today in an old magazine about apple and cinnamon curd, would love a recipe for that too if anyone has one.

Do you have the River Cottage Family Recipe book Jesse.

That worked well for me. The lemon and lime one was fantastic. I didn't sieve it though as I like the zest it gave it a zing.

If not I have another lemon curd recipe that is tried and tested too.

I think that you can make orange curd and other variations using the same formulas.

One that did not work out well was when I made it with bought butter - it looked lovely but did not set thick - I like it so that you can stand a spoon up in it!

It tasted lovely though - so I used it up by adding it to a sponge cake and it was WOW.

I made another today, and added lemon and lime curd and it is WOW too.

I love messing about with cakes.

OK - I just have to get the loaf started and put it in the cupboard to start proving, then feed the chooks and I will be back and post the recipe.
