Not yet on these, but if I splurge on a kiln I'll have to! Actually, now I've sorted out the photo bucket thing (did someone resize for me BTW?) I should put up some more photos. - It's acase of remembering to get the photos in daylight!

They were quite easy, but the lady said I did well for a beginner. Of course she might just have been saying that Laughing

You heat up the glass rod in a flame, then it gloops down onto a metal rod which you twist slowly to wind the molten glass on. Then, when you've got enough you just twist it in the flame until gravity makes it round. It's quite hypnotic!

I remember the day of the school trip to France (which was too expensive, so I and about two others in the year didn't go on), when we just mucked about in the science lab for most of the time, and were given a glass rod each to just play with (and a bunsen burner). I was trying to write my name with mine, surprisingly tricky Laughing
