I know foxes arn't good news for a lot of you with livestock, but came home today to find Mr fox fast asleep in my bird seed bowl on the garden table,
Kathy
Aww bless, he looks comfy. I don't consider any animal vermin Jojo, after all it's us that's stealing away all their territory bit by bit.
Lizzie
That's just brilliant Jojo - lucky you!
I agree with Kathy - I know that foxes take hens and it's a pain in the neck, but we put the hens there in the first place! They're just taking the opportunities that are given to them. I love to see them (and fox cubs are way up there on the cute-ometer!)
Libby
A lovely pic but surely unusual for Mr?Mrs Fox to be out and exposed in daylight, is it OK do you think???
Jojo
Yes Libby he's fine, not at all skinny think he gets well fed I put things out like a left over chicken, we see them all times of the day,he comes for breakfast and eats the nuts and sultanas I put out for the birds, trouble is neighbours both sides of me hate them,so I have to be careful not to encourage him to much,he brought another fox with him a couple of weeks ago, they chased each other round and round my garden and played just like a couple of dogs, thrashed a few plants and flowers
