MarshmallowMallow is used as a gargle to treat mouth and throat ulcers. It is also useful for gastric ulcers.
The flowers and young leaves can be eaten. They are often added to salads or boiled and fried. They are also used in cosmetics for the skin.

I'm in a munchie mood and marshmallows on top of boiling hot chocolate would do the job just now

Not sure how therapeutic that would be....................

nanny-now and forever

might not be therapeutic but it would be a comfort
marshmallows on the end of a stick, held over an open fire till burned black then sandwiched between 2 digestive bickies with a lump of chocolate
how much more comfort food do you need.....

.....and if the food has comforted you, you must feel healthier.....is that enough proof

The actual Marshmallow content of most marshmallows is zero
So much as they're great fun toasted just the right amount over the remains of a barbecue, the fluffy sweets aren't going to do ulcers much good!
Funny how the name has stuck even though they are so far from the original item.
