Molly has left the building

Molly went to her new home last night, she has really landed on her paws with her new family. Here are a couple of pics from the other night. Charlie will miss her a bit but he's got a million other dogs around him just now so hasn't really noticed she's gone.

Charlie is washing her

Be happy Molly.

Well done coco - which one of them went to Morpeth ...  I could give them a wave when we're visiting the in-laws... Smile

Charlie, the liver and white boy, went to Morpeth to stay the weekend with Cynthia, the lady who started the rescue. He is going to his new home even further south today, best of luck Charlie boy!
Molly's new home is only about 40mins away, she is settling in fine and loves their own dog so all is well.

Yesterday a customer came into the shop and said that there was a black kitten wandering around on the estate road and it looked lost...would I take it so it didn't get run over.... so I got the cat basket after work and picked it up, it was 30 secs up the road from work.... it's only about 14 weeks I think, most of the time if pets are roaming the estate then they've been dumped  Evil or Very Mad  I'll post pics of the wee lad later, he is so sweet.

Rolling Eyes  Rolling Eyes I've fallen over it 5 times already today..........................

Hmmm - the lady we got our lovely Molly from was called Cynthia and lived not too far from Morpeth - she used to foster dogs for the RSPCA which is why she had Molly.....

Maybe Northumberland is just full of dog-loving ladies called Cynthia..... Laughing

What kind of dog do you have? Cynthia lives near Red row, I don't think there are too many rescue ladies with that name around there! So you never know, she doesn't just take in Springers, there's been quite a variety through her doors  Laughing
Lizzie

It could well be the same lady, but we're talking 1992 when we got Molly (who's no longer with us...). She was a mongrel, medium sized and golden labrador coloured.  Your Mum's met her...

She was rescued by the RSPCA from the hospital car park in Ashington when she was a puppy.  She'd been kicked and starved and many of her bones were broken.  They kept her for 3-4 months while she recovered and then Cynthia fostered her while a new home was found which, to our great good fortune, was with us.  She was the best dog in the world and we loved her to pieces.

Cynthia's been in rescue for over 30 years so it just might have been. Sounds like Molly had a hard beginning to life, poor thing, but she was one of the lucky ones and got rescued. You do see some dogs coming in and they are in terrible condition, people can be incredibly cruel.
