monday 12th october

good morning all
we went out last night with the people I work with for a meal, and we went to a place here in Bristol called Flavourz, well, it was really good, it was an all you can eat place, and it cost £12, but the choice was amazing, there were at least 40 dishes to choose from, and the price included the dessert, which ranged from chocolate cake to a chocolate fountain with marshmallows, there was also grapes, apples plums etc.  we`re going back for Thomas`s birthday which is in a couple of weeks time.
  have a good day everyone
Libby

Sounds nice RWR, we have a similar Chinese/sushi/Thai place in Swindon, 'Cosmos' a big hit with the youngsters!! I have yet to go  Confused

Another beautiful day so I am washing sheets and towels, I love hanging them out!

I have a car so, am off out to do a few bits of shopping  Very Happy

Morning all  Very Happy

I just can't seem to get going this morning - didn't wake up until 6.30 so I didn't get back in with the dogs until 7.15 and I've been trying to catch up ever since!  I have to leave the office a wee bit early to go and check on friends' hens so I needed to be here a wee bit early too, which didn't happen.  Hey ho - what are they going to do - sack me?!  Laughing

We had a busy weekend but don't seem to have achieved very much (apart from a slightly cleaner house!).

Have a great day everyone  Very Happy
Kathy

Afternoon folks. Smile
I'm changing my day round a bit and not switching the computer on in the mornings. I find it eating too much into the day and then I'm running behind at tea time.  Rolling Eyes  Laughing I will log on either in the afternoon, briefly, or in the evening, think I'll get more done that way!

Got up to dog vomit so that was a nice start to the day................all cleaned up now.  Laughing

Coco started her new job today at Mountainhorse Rescue, perfect job for her I have to say. Downside is, they discovered ringworm yesterday and after going round and checking the 140 horses, 41 are infected. She'll have to be extra careful to shower and change when she comes home so our horses don't get it. http://www.mountainsanimalsanctuary.org.uk/

nanny-now and forever

ah ringworm...i remember that one, good luck with it....all stables had to be disinfected, all fence posts, the gates, the buckets, lead reins, head collars, tack, grooming kits, the round pen, all the barns and buildings and then ever day or so we had to go round every animal on the farm and soak the lesions with this stuff....a bit of a baptisim of fire kathy....

sorry i wasn't around yesterday, stuff got ahead of me....

today was hugely busy and we had visitors sort of stacked up.....the colegt students arrived on time and then came a man ffrom bbc radio wales to do an interview with us...very nice man who is doing a 6 minute slot on a sunday show that will also be repeated and can be heard on iplay (he tells me)...don't know which sunday though...

in the middle of his visit a man from careers wales came along, he wanted to talk to mr nanny about whether or not teachers from the local schools can come and do a day here then get their children involved at a later date...good for us as there is payment involved...the first 3 teachers will come on the 2nd nov....

just after lunch one of the trustees arrived to do mr nanny's yearly appraisal, that meant i had to go out front of house to help supervise the  coleg students, the appraisal took till nearly 4, she didn't leave till nearly 5 and that was the day gone

on saturday the groom went sick, flu symptoms.....tomorrow is supposed to be mr nanny's day off but that will now be cancelled and he has to look to the rest of the week to see what is going to happen....we only have the one other paid employee so by saturday it will be well over a week without a day off so he is going to see if he can get someone to help....the groom is going to have a baby in feb anyway and we have permission to hire someone to cover for maternity leave...we have someone in mind, whether she will be able to help this weekend or not, remains to be seen...

all happens here.....
