Today is cleaning the bin.
Empty it out, and get rid of the contents, then fill it with hot soapy water, and using a washing up brush, give it a good scrub inside.
Do the same with the outside, and then empty and leave upside down to drain.
Don't forget to do the lid too.

In my new role as the perfect housewife this has already been done - and the outside of the bin and inside the lid gets wiped down every evening just before I go to do the bathroom

Surely the perfect housewife would do this during the day and be in the bedroom in the evening? 
(runs and hides fast!)

This perfect housewife works all day and there's plenty of time between getting home and into the bedroom

You know, this is unfair, I have more work with this task because we've a 3 section general/recycling/compost bin! Three compartments to clean, *and* the inside and outside of the whole thing itself! Bah!
