Monday 2nd AprilYucky one today, at least mine was until just now!
Oven cleaning time.
I used a chemical cleaner, Mr muscle, spreyed it on and left it for 2 hours, and wiped it all away. I don't really use many cleaners, but I figure every 6 months is worth using something strong.
For the shelves I have soaked them in the butlers sink, but you can put them in the bath, although make sure it will be ok with soda first) . Put an old towel down first then put in washing soda crystals, and fill with very hot water, and leave till next morning. They will only need a wipe then.
For the grill pan, put in with this too, then when it is clean cover in foil, so it will be easier to deal with next time.
If you are worried about your bath then get a strong black sack, and put shelves in, sprinkle with soda, and pour in boiling water, and leave outside all night, laying flat, making sure the water can't get out.

I recently purchased a Lincat commercial oven from Ebay so it's still clean. I'll give it a wipe over though.
