Monday 2nd June

and the gargantuan eater is still with us Rolling Eyes  I think we have been reversed very cleverly into a corner and put in such a situation we couldn't get out of it without causing ructions, so we went for the quieter and more expensive option, he is with us until Thursday Rolling Eyes  Shocked
Ever hopeful that the longer he is with us the more annoying T will find him Confused
Anyway, bit of a traumatic weekend as I belive all my wonderful brugmansia plants may have a virus (still being investigated).

The plan this week is to paint the kitchen, repot all the houseplants mow the lawn and go swimming at least twice! Very Happy

I said in the other thread Libby, that you should ask him for a contribution.

I have a mountain of cleaning to do, but right now I need to convince M that her hair looks a mess Rolling Eyes

Morning all  Very Happy

I agreed with Becki - ask him for a contribution or better still, get him to take you all out for a slap up dinner on his last night with you!

We had a busy weekend one way or another, including going to look at the house my parents are moving into next month - it's absolutely gorgeous, but does need a fair bit of decorating (guess what I'm spending my June evenings doing....).

My boss at my second job at the restaurant has asked if I can do 'one or two' shifts during the week as well as Friday and Saturday nights - it'd be starting at 5.00 ish and she says 9.00pm is a late finish during the week.  The money would be handy but I'm not sure I've got the stamina!  I'll have to mull it over for a while I think.

Have a great day everyone and CP, whilst I know you won't be logging on during your first day in a new job, I hope it all goes swimmingly for you xx

Very Happy
Kathy

Morning all, it's a local holiday today so no school. Weather looks ok but I must get my bedroom cleaned today, I can see the dust rolling about.  Embarassed

E is going to play with a friend so I'm going to do some furniture rearranging and move this PC to a quieter place. Major job really as there's a lot of "stuff" on the desk!

Enjoy the swimming Libby.
Jellycat, don't take on too much and Becki, leave the weans hair alone, dreadlocks are cool! Laughing

Libby - I agree with JC - get him to take you all out for dinner, as long as it's not McDs or some rubbish.

Becki/Kathy - good luck with the cleaning.

JC - don't wear yourself out.

We had another busy weekend. Went to M&D's to see Gran on Saturday. Yesterday took it a bit easy, but did more painting. Today - more cleaning and painting. Maybe some gardening, although rain is forecast for later.

The list of things left to do is getting shorter now. Although it still looks like a lot!

Hello all, Well Ive stayed in Cornwall and sent a large flower arrangement up to the Midlands. Its a hard day but Im getting through it. It seems to be the start of new resemes, the physio has sent for me  and the doctor has summond me so I will see what they say and no doubt my legs will hurt to start with but they will improve.

The weekend flew, OH arrived home with his new toy, a boat for us all to go out in but it needs a little TLC first.

Ive done my stint at the stables and taught my hour for RDA Ive had a soak in the bath, sorted all the clothes for the girls and prepared for sailing tonight. The forcast is good so hopefully they will all have a good time.

TGM, what have I missed?

Well, I am home somewhat earlier than expected, a good first morning, a big challenge but I think I'm going to enjoy it.  New boss had a meeting this afternoon so suggested I come home and relax while I can!!

So, going to change into scruffs (I love my scruffs  Laughing ), take the dogs for a walk, then do a spot of gardening  Very Happy

crikey CP i wish i had had a boss like that....went ok then?

acqui it does get easier and the jobs will get done...and if they don't at least people can see what you have done

did our volunteers day today and my face hurts from all the smiling i had to do......but i think it was a success despite our woeful promotional material...ie: virtually nothing and what we do have is rather tired and some 15 years old...however the photos of gwilym and val caused a stir and we had several people stop and have a look and we talked to them and had done lots of networking......even that will do us some good, raising awareness of the trust and all that jargon type stuff

that took most of today i am afraid, got home about 3, took the dogs out and made sure gladys was ok on her nest as we hadn't seen her this morning....

did a tiny bit in the greenhouse before stopping for the day, another day gone....tomorrow is the assessment for wildlife release, i had forgotten i am supplying lunch and of course i have done no housework so big panic for me in the morning

all the animals are chilled, more than i am and of course mr nanny is well chilled about absolutely everything and anyway he had told me i was doing lunch so it was my fault for forgetting...which it was....i hate it when he's right..........

i am shot to bits here.................
Kathy

Oh dear Nanny, I'm sure it'll be all right though, now you have your new swanky kitchen (with windows that open).

A nice boss then CP, that always helps, glad your first day went well.

A boat TGM, lucky you, that should give you hours of fun.  Very Happy

Cleaning is done and I've shifted the PC downstairs, shifted the piano (again) and generally moved things around so feel the place is a bit cleaner now. You know what it's like when you move a piece of furniture and see what has accumulated down the back.  Shocked Embarassed Laughing

Merlin got taken to the vets to see about getting neutered. We've to wait 6 mths for the undescended testicle to grow a bit bigger, it'll be easier to find then. We also booked Pheonix (ginger tom) in for his op, bloomin expensive this animal malarky.  Rolling Eyes

Just catching up on forums then its bed for me, sleep well everyone, hope you have another good day tomorrow CP.  Smile
