New Allotments.

As in most places, there is a long waiting list for allotments in Ilminster. The other day,the council rang my OH(hes allotment secretary) and told him that they had found a site for some new allotments.
To our surprise and delight,we have been offered the walled garden at Dillington House. A certain lady writer/ journalist has had it as a hobby farm, but as she is now working with Boris Johnson, she has given it up.She has written two books about the farm, which some ofyou may have read.
We have a bothy, a very large tool shed, several chicken runs, two poly tunnels and a glasshouse.
The rent is rather more than the town sites, but access is easy, and we have free water from the drainage pond.
At the moment we can,t think of any snags, but I,m sure one will crop up.

Oh,and we can sell any surplus veg to students at the Big House!
