Hiya lloyd  Very Happy

Unfortunatly yes that little lady has at the moment  Crying or Very sad the owners visit daily and the Vet is awaiting test results any day now apparently to confirm the worst... they belive the pour gall is suffering from Cancer as other symptoms she has been having all seem to point in that unfortunate direction. Apart from the growth at the moment on her nose she seems in very high spirts for now though  Very Happy
Kathy

Beautiful, they obviously love human company. Very Happy
What a shame about little lady though but at least she doesn't appear to be suffering.
mogs

beautiful horses........but be careful feeding too much bread, especially this time of year, can lead to all sorts of problems.

i have had to have a word with a very kind lady not far from us, who feeds the horses bread, they were becoming very overweight and thier hooves were also suffering.
morlan578

thanks for the advice mog,s we don,t give them to much bread we normally take a little assortment of bread apples and carrots just a small amount of each as treat ,  Very Happy

mogs

please dont think i was saying you were, but just precautionary.....lol....

some people tend not to think about it and quite innocently fed them too much.........

the lady i spoke of ealrier, has seen the light and has agreed to only feed them in the winter......so i have agreed i will give her a sack of ' proper feed ' and a measuring scoop for them so she can still feed them....lol...the things you have to do eh....lol.
morlan578

Thank you so much for your advise I know next to nothing about horses and they are so friendly ,just come up when they see me at the fence i would be devastated if i thought i had inadvertantly been doing something that would make them ill

Your friend "Richie"
mogs

no i am sure you are ok with what you are feeding them...... lots of variety there.

this lady tho, was feeding each horse a full loaf of bread everyday!! bless her, she thought it was ok.........lol

Really sad we got an update today on the lady cob with the nose wound the vet has confirmed its a tumour and i don,t expect to see her around much longer she,ll be soreley missed jen and I have become quite attached to her she,s normally first to the gate and seems to recognise me and call,s when i go to take the bins out  Crying or Very sad
Kathy

That's a shame.  Sad
Libby

awwwww  Sad

Sad  didnt realise Richie posted about this  Crying or Very sad

We are both pretty gutted TBH, shes a few painless months in her as yet apparently... so I have been  holistically treating her myself with herbal preperations for the past 2 weeks.

Her wound has almost "dryed" up to the point scabbing Its become a VERY visable and an obvious "wound heal" is taking course about the size of a Expresso saucer not huge like it was. The preparations I used have worked and NO flys, eggs or other beasties are apparent at all at the moment  Very Happy

Richards Sister is a proffessional when it comes to Reki and Crystal therapy and Reflexology wich has  more than proved to me within a WEEK! It work's! but be aware of frauds, I have seen a good few on here of people that know there stuff BTW, just be cautious with some.!

We feel at the moment if we can just help her Journey to be easier, I know this horse is not ours but I pull the stops out in any occassion when an animal is suffering and we can make their life easier wether it be herbal preparations or Geniune Hands on treatments or just a Hug!.

I know I shoot but at the end of the day I would not Hurt or Wound a Fly, food wise I do kill I do Hunt but if in anyway I thought I would not take an animal out "clean" for food I seriously would NOT do it.

Tommorow I'll be going up the field again and take a few pictures of our poorly lady a basic preperation I used on her was "Tumeric" in paste form can post details of MY findings later?
I posted a "Basic" explantion on another web site once, seems some took heed? then again may be not  Laughing

But trust me herbs do work in certain conditions, I know we won't save this Girl BUT I'm having a go  Very Happy

Good for you Jen and Richie!!! Smile
Kathy

Good for you Jen, herbs certainly do work as do other "alternatives." Turmeric is great for arthritic joints, does stain the skin though! I'll look forward to hearing how you get on.  Smile
mogs

yep herbs and healing can work, people are sceptical, but if it works on animals then they cant lie.

i am a reiki master, and i have seen excellent results on animals, as well as people.

go for it.......
Libby

Go for it, you have nothing to lose  Very Happy

Old post I know, but will post some pictures up asap! as an update to the Cancer one of our Nieghbours has..
The madame in questions nose has fully healed! she started gaining weight again and runs and I mean literally RUNS to Rich when she see's him!

She's lookin very healthy now we are still doing the "hands on" approach and it seems to have payed off we're really pleased with her progress and her quality of life has seemed to much improved thankfully  Very Happy .

The 2 fouls are doing well also, it really is very strange they are not used to much human contact but are all over us! I'll try and video it monday  Very Happy
Libby
