our wait is ovr at long last

well, not been a too regular poster for the last few months, but lots been happening here......lol....but i have been posting when and where i can....

this is one of the reasons i have been pre-occupied.....lol

when we bought this mare, bella, we knew she was in foal, but we were not sure who to or when she was due......one person said she was due may/june to her apaloosa stallion, another said june/july to his cloured.......so i had cancelled all bookings for fairs etc throughout may, june and july........

finally yesterday she arrived................and am i sooo proud.....a coloured and a filly too....... Very Happy  Very Happy

mum is the bay moors pony, and the cob with her is Moon another mare we have........Myfanwy,  the corgi wondering what the funny leggy thing is.....lol....

the foal is an hour old in this picci, and we still have to name her.........we are thinking along the lines of ' Apache Dawn ' or something similar.

suggestions are welcome.... Wink

Kathy

Awwwwwwwwwwww, isn't she just beautiful.  Very Happy I guess it was the coloured stallion who's the father then!
mogs

oh yes kathy.......

this is him

little one even has very similar markings, tho she is a skewbold, rather than piebold.
mum is 13.2hh, dad is 14.2hh so hopefully littl one should b around 14.hh ish....when bell goes to stud this time, the stallion will be black and white again, but a different horse.

more piccis will follw shortly, i just dont want to bore people.....lol
nanny-now and forever

did you go to one of the markets?
mogs

no nanny not this time......

we have a friend who has a sec A stud just outside merthyr, Ffros-y-Fran stud. he has about 60 mares on the mountains here...and runs his stallions from april to july with them.........because we have been friends for a long time, i am lucky enough to have pick of the foals each year.......the year before last we had 4 colt foals from him, worked on them and sold them on to new homes, ready to be brought on.......last year thre was nothing i really liked, and i have to like them to really enjoy working with them.

the line he has is the ' Revel ' line.
Lizzie

Ooooooooooooooh what a cutie!
mogs

i think it got just too much for her.......this being born thing is hard work........ Shocked

plus she didnt have quite so far to fall.........old ant hills are good sometimes......... Rolling Eyes
