Over Winter Onions

Should they be doing this?

agapanthus

They look good to me....why did you there was a problem?
Libby

I didn't expect them to have shooted so early won't they get killed by the possible winter (frosts and snow)??
agapanthus

They'll be fine....these over-wintering ones can cope with that! Wink
Libby

Phew! then I'm going to have a good start on next year then with these. I might have to get some more.
Flowerlady

Wow! They look great!  Very Happy  Mine are not half as advanced as  they are!  Confused   But my garlic is showing through now.  Wink
Libby

I forgot to plant my garlic, is it too late do you think?
Flowerlady

Nothing ventured nothing gained ... they do say November ... and I too also have another batch to go in!  We can compare notes!
agapanthus

Go for it Libby!! Only got ours in last week!
lloyd

Our garlic went in last week, two rows of 25 in each.

According to gardening lore you get them in before first frost. Onions are also in and sprouting now, and lettuce and salad greens went in a couple of days ago.
Flowerlady

I actually managed a row double row of broadies yesterday too !  Wink
