I didn't expect them to have shooted so early won't they get killed by the possible winter (frosts and snow)??

Our garlic went in last week, two rows of 25 in each.
According to gardening lore you get them in before first frost. Onions are also in and sprouting now, and lettuce and salad greens went in a couple of days ago.
