I've just started and finished a quick project for LP - she needed/wanted a pin-board for her bedroom. I trawled the shops for something reasonable looking, or for basic board to cover - without any luck. Eventually I bought a really cheap framed cork-board from Focus for £3.99 and decided to cover the cork. I cut a piece of plain white cotton (she didn't like the patterned fabrics I had - not princessy or Barbie enough for her!) and ironed it carefully, then covered all the cork, but not the frame, with PVA glue. I carefully pressed the fabric onto the glue and then pushed all the edges under the frame so they don't show. Bingo one nicer looking cork-board.
Now she says she wants me to do it again with butterfly material but as I haven't got any it's not going to happen!!!!!

Hehehe! When LP was at playschool last year the Postman came to tell the kids about his job. Each child drew a picture of themselves and stuck a stamp on, Jacki wrote their addresses on their cards, and they walked round to the postbox to post their postcards. Sure enough LPs was delivered through our door the next day! She was thrilled of course!!!!

thanks, it is lovely, what you can't see in the photo is that some of the fabric paint actually looks like crayon, it's fab and I've been keeping it aside for something special, perhaps this is it

Oh lovely. I really must look out some more fabrics that are girlie. I've got plenty of cat fabrics but didn't think of LP much last time I had a hunt!!!
