Poppy's Shawl

This is my 6th Forest Canopy Shawl, that I have made, I have done several more repeats on the main body and the fringe, but as you can see the biggest difference is the beads.

I used approximately 700-800 No 6 Toho beads from e-beads.

The yarn I bought from a friend on another forum, last summer when she was having a big de-stash, I bought lots of 'red's', with a guess that Poppy would wear a red dress to the prom,  Wink  this particular yarn (I not sure what it is), is lovely and soft and was the correct shade of red for the dress, but the only down side, was, the colour leaked over my fingers every time I knitted, however it was very interesting to see how I tension yarn and knit   Rolling Eyes

The finish shawl went beautifully with the dress but I as said in Poppy’s prom post even at midnight she had no use for the shawl due to the lovely Mediterranean weather we had.   Very Happy

That is just beautiful Jacky, how clever you are.  Very Happy
I really must have a go at incorporating beads into knitting, my sister makes her own glass and silver beads.

oh groan!!!! I'm still on about row 30 with mine Rolling Eyes

It is a stunning colour and Jacky adds the beads with a crochet hook!! Far better than threading them on the wool!!
