quart into a pint pot????

Okay, I think this could be one for Alison to answer.......
if one lives in a small cottage and with not much in the way of cupboard space and one has lots and lots of stuff.....kitchen, sewing and craft....where does one put it all????????????? This ONE is just a tad untidy....but the other ONE is even worse!!!
Seriously though, it does get me down, especially when (like at the moment) I do a lot of sewing....there's just complete mess and pandemonium everywhere Crying or Very sad  Crying or Very sad  Crying or Very sad

Aggie, tis very simple.

YOU spread your craftwork all over the cottage to your heart's content.

HE gets the shed.

Cool  Wink
Kathy

Could Munty perhaps organise another shed where the coal bunker is, shift the coal bunker round the corner? Fully shelved for storing your craft items but so you can see stuff at a glance.
Libby

I have that problem with our 'small old cottage' no storage what so ever!

No help to you, I know,  but just wanted you to know your not alone! Very Happy

Tis not simple when we have chicks in the living room and 'cos I'm a softy and want them to bond with me.....(always wanted to be like snow white when she sits in the garden and all the animals and birds come around and sit on her!!!! Wink  ) and they wander around and poop on everything!!!! Embarassed

That's one idea I came up with!!!...now the pallet shed is almost complete, I suggested a similar one for me!!!...one problem...they are asking for redundancies on the building site and one of the guys is the one who we get all our wood from!!! Sad
I also thought we could make a porch-type thing in front of the back door and extend it a bit to the corner where the kitchen ends....not sure if we need planning permission for that or not. Not really au faix with scottish regs yet....do you know Kathy??

Seems as if I'm just putting obstacles in place of peeps good ideas....but I'm not honestly!!! Smile
Perhaps an investment in the fold-down boxes is an idea to go with?
nanny-now and forever

we downsized from a small cottage to an even smaller one

it ain't easy

lots of boxes in the loft, and pictures  that we have no wall space for

mr nanny's so called study is stacked to the gunwales with boxes of his stuff that he has no space for...i try never to go in there, it's scarey

ihave learned that i don't need so much stuff, there are boxes in the loft containing stuff from the other house that hadn't been opened when we moved there so clearly people don't need so much stuff..

as an aside and as a bit of a radical thought....you could get rid of some of your stuff i suppose?

ok don't shoot me, it was only an idea after all................ Rolling Eyes

We have lots of storage boxes. We have boxes of stuff under the bed, in the bottom of the wardrobe etc. Also can fully advocate Nanny's gettiing rid of stuff idea - tis very cathartic!

(she says havng just bid for more stuff on ebay!)

I'm so glad we'll hopefully soon have more rooms (sorry - not much help!)
