Rasta BagThis is the rasta bag I started today, I've still to line it and sew it up. I got told to do one of my dreadlock bags in rasta colours but not too loud! Looks like a sort of tartan rasta to me.

That's brilliant Kathy. how on earth did you have time to do that today. you are clever.

Do you know that weaving is much faster than knitting and if you use a few strands of chunky wool for the weft (left to right and then back again, right to left) you can make something like this in a couple of hours. The fiddly bit is the sewing up, that takes a bit longer.

One of these years, I will get my loom sorted out and go on a course . . . though I have a idea it will be Tam doing it rather than me - she's a natural at spinning too . . .

I do these bags on an Ashford Rigid Heddle Loom16" and I've a Kromski 32" as well. Used to have more but how many looms does one need! This is where I bought my 16"
http://www.twistfibrecraft.co.uk/weaving/weaving.html
It comes with a 10dpi reed (the bit the threads go through) and I purchased a 7.5 (used for the bags) and a 5dpi which you can do really funky yarns with, £8 each.
