Runner bean and potato curry

I did this today and everyone gave a thumbs up!

Serves 4

2lb runner beans
4 potatoes
4tblsp veg oil
4 cloves garlic crushed
2tsp ground coriander
1/2 tsp ground turmeric
1/2 tsp cayenne
1 1/2 tsp curry powder

string and cut the beans
peel potatoes and cut into small pieces
heat the oil in a deep pan and add the spices
add veggies
mix well and cook on  a medium heat stirring regularly for at least 20minuts until well done.
keep a lid on so the steam works its wonders!

i served with naan bread, rice, natural yogurt and chutney.

Excellent, I've got a glut so chutney and curry for us too!  Very Happy

Quality curry, Kathy!....You'd be happy to pay for it in the Tandori. The chutney needs some time before we can judge..............

We've invited a friend up tomorrow so we're making it for that.  Smile

It's like a mildish Aloo Chat, and if you add spinach it would be a fine sag aloo. Wink

I plan to do this on Sunday. Might put in some chard if it's still ok. And might do it with half sweet potatoes, can't decide yet!

It didn't work for us tonight, no idea why, just didn't seem to work out. Confused
Kathy

Strange, what was wrong with it?
Cabbagepatch

I did double the amount and decided that the first one was slightly too oily so used less this time.

Don't know what else, it just didn't reach the right consistency.  And, I managed to turn the rice to mush as well  Confused  Confused   Really disappointed because last time everyone wanted double helpings!!

Beans on toast tomorrow night then!!!
