The swap is for a bag, any bag, knitted, sewn, crocheted, woven whatever you fancy. I think its a bit early to organise swap partners as we may get some others joining in. The children go back to school, roughly the end of the 1st week, beginning of the 2nd, so if we aim for opening on either Saturday 19th or 26th, let me know which you would prefer. That gives us 4months 3 weeks from this post (minimum) to finish it

Don't panic, ask any questions and I am sure we can help
There are lots of free patterns on the internet and a bit of rumaging (sp) in your stash box or remnants box at your local curtain fabric shop, or wool shop depending how you are going to make the bag and you will be away. I can't say don't stress, because I am always so late that I stress that I will miss the last day  and I have yet to post a parcel second class

Just an idea how about one of those big needled knitted bags, that screw up at the bottom of your other bag and then take the most amazing amount of shopping when in use. They are great and quite quick to knit

you make a bag and send it to swap partner by certain date! I will let you who that swap partner is. Very simple
We do quite a few swaps over winter time, nice to get a parcel in the post for you! |

Actually you make the bag, either sewing knitting or crochet, are you still up for that ... if you are not sure, shout for help re : patterns (lots of free ones on the internet) and in the making, we are all here to help

Mmmm problemo with that... I would sew one you see but no longer have access to my machine  so I guess hand stiched is the way to go up for it so add me no problem... ok if arrives 2010 tho ...

Luckily there was nothing worth watching on the TV last night (after Wildest Dreams - well done Anna!), so I listened to a play on the radio and was able to get on with the second half ... hopefully I'll be able to get it finished this weekend. | ||

Yikes - me too. I made good progress last night but now I'm up to the difficult bit!
It's also occurred to me that I haven't quite finished the cross-stitch picture I'm doing for Mum's birthday and that has to be framed as well before the end of the month... Please can I requisition an extra day in each weekend this month? |

This is so exciting I thought I'd best pop in and let you know I haven't dropped off the planet The girls are back to school this morning so normal service should be resumed
I've nearly finished the bag, just some little finishing flurries now but sometimes the finishing off bits can take longer than the main bit, if you know what I mean so I'm hoping I'm on course for 20th posting
