I have a drop spindle but would love a wheel Very Happy

Mr Kathy spins, uses an electric wheel. I've used a drop spindle and intend to do more once the nights draw in. I'm sure there's pictures of his yarn on here somewhere, he's done some lovely stuff.

i too use drop spindles, actually i make them for craft fairs aswell as peg looms..and niddy noddies......lol....sorry not a plug or anything.....honest.

the wheel i use is an old haldane, but luckily i can still get spare parts if i need them.
Kathy

We've got a boutique section Mogs, plug away in there if you like!  Laughing

Maybe we could get some other members interested in spinning using drop spindles, they're not expensive. Have a challenge to produce enough fibre to knit a square!
Cabbagepatch

I inherited two gorgeous spinning wheels from Lloyd's mother, one of which is a beautiful antique.  I think the photos are in here somewhere.

To my shame I gave them up as a bad job and put them in the loft last winter as I was getting too frustrated.  However they may be out of sight but definitely not out of mind!
lloyd

If anyone would like, I can take fresh pix, but will struggle posting them.
Libby
