Spinning wheel photoI photobucketed the spinning wheel photo.
The basic wheel is an Ashford Kiwi, which is very simple with an MDF wheel. Funnctional but a bit boring looking.
So I varnished the wood and painted the wheel. It stated out blue, but was a bit purple-ish, then a different blue, then I tried bitter chocolate brown and finally black. In the spirit of recycling it's the leftover paint from my front door!
Then I stencilled the lettering in silver, so when the wheel is still it can be read, and when it spins, the words turn into a silver whirl.
