Sprouting seedsIs it necessary to buy packets of seeds that declare themselves "sprouting seeds"? They seem more expensive than normal seeds.I have used jam jars and muslin for the last year but have just treated myself (  to a sprouter....£5. How bad am I! ). I must say it is great, so much quicker in the mornings before work. No messing about at all.
But can I use ordinary packets of seeds?? |

In a word, no, you don't need to use "sprouting seeds" Chickpeas, mung beans, alalfa, aduki beans, any beans or seeds will sprout. the first 4 make a nice mix, I've got some on the windowsill at the moment!
