The First Event of 2007 Not just yet of course, but just thought perhaps it would be a comfy January thing to do, deciding on the next Potting Shed Event.
Should we have a poll or something?

Maybe another swap? A few people said their lives quiet down a little after the madness of Christmas, so it might be a good time to start one off.

I would love to take part in another swap but I know I simply won't have time in the first few months of this year. But please all go ahead and organise something, I'll be watching and enjoying seeing what everyone does.

Becki

I'd love to join in with something but not sure if i have enough time. I'll wait and see whatr you all decide to do before i jump in and say yes!

I don't mind what it is, and I don't mind organising it, as I offered before Christmas.

Kathy

| Cabbagepatch wrote: | perhaps an easter panto....nanny where are you..... |
How does that work then?
alison
Mandy, don't ask,
Surfice to say, copious amounts of alcohol are drunk, and a whole lot of waffle, loosely follows and excellent script, and moved on expertly by Nanny, who slowly has a nervous breakdown

How about a summer bulb swap? We could all get just one (largish) bulb do the swap...grow the bulb....and use the flower in some way? Maybe paint, sketch, dried to use in card or similar, photograph or just enjoy!!

wea are planning a dog show with agility contest for dogs as well as an easter egg hunt so frankly don't know what i will be able to do
we will probably have people from the trust staying as well so i think that i would have to be a bit careful about what i commit myself too
panto for easter eh?

will i recover from the christmas one in time.....................

So you were with Santa? That is the logical conclusion from your previous statements. Does Mr Nanny mind? Or is he Mr Nanny/Santa in a Clark Kent/Superman fashion?

Nanny is a woman of the world who knows her own mind, She's an American, you kow?....anyway,,,her ways are different to ours.................

No no no, it's just that that tracker website that follows him makes it look like he spends rather longer at your house than everyone elses? I guess it could just be the presents for all your menagerie that take so long though...
Wouldn't want to be casting aspersions!

I like the idea of the bulb swap and the spring swap!
Cabbagepatch
Alison, Alison where are you?
You willingly voluneered, oh yes you did. So what are we doing next???
No pressure
lloyd
It's ages since we did a forum dinner party?
alison

You lot chose what you want to do, and I'll sort out nagging you all and working out the partners etc.
Cabbagepatch
Oh dear oh dear oh dear Ali, you may just regret that post.....
lloyd

Can we do another forum dinner party?

It was just so much fun, last March or April or whenever it was. Lamb Ragout and nettle soup etc.......

Another swap would be nice...
Leonie2
Lloyd, why don't you organise a dinner party for Feb.
I like the idea of a summer bulb thing which we then paint, photograph, make into a card or whatever so I'd be happy to organise that as I plan to take part.....unless you want to organise it agapanthus, I think it was your idea?
And if someone wants to organise a swap perhaps a spring swap would be a good time? Alison, what do you think?
Becki
Yes lets do all of it! Yay!!!!!
agapanthus
Sure I don't mind...but no idea how to do it. Let me know how you want it done
Leonie2
well, we need a new thread created for the summer bulb project giving instructions as to what it's all about etc. Then we can all post progress during the next few months e.g. what type of bulb we've each bought, photos of it growing and of course the final bit of what artistic "thing" we have produced that was inspired by the flower. It's an easy one really because there's not posting or swapping involved, just discussion, photos etc.
agapanthus
Do you think that if it was an actual swap people would feel more inclined to plant and take pics etc than if we just got a bulb for ourselves?
Leonie2
I'll leave that up to you agapanthus
agapanthus
Thanks Leonie..
Becki
we could set up a poll to see which was preffered?
agapanthus
Off you go then Becki!!

If you'd rather I organise the bulb project then I'll be happy to. Just let me know whether or not I should so I know what's happening.
Cabbagepatch
I'm happy to do any or all of the above but don't really have the time to organise anything this time around.
Just tell me what we are all doing and I shall of course just do it!
agapanthus
I was just teasing!!!
alison

I am rubbish at thinking of these type of ideas, so if a spring swap idea is agreed on, I am happy to organise it.

Hmm, Lent is upon us and I imagine everyone here is giving up something valued and important for 40 days.
Should we have something interesting to look forward to in order to keep us all on the straight and narrow ? Something decadent perhaps?
Is there a panto where everyone eats and drinks too much?
Nanny, Nanny........where are you?.....................................
