The next step, yippee!I spoke to my manager today, and asked if she would consider letting me go Part Time..... and she said YES!!!!
I am so pleased.
3 days a week starting in April, and I'm using Annual Leave to let me do a 4 day week until then.
This is such a relief, I feel so much better now, as though I am back in control instead of running around scrabbling for an hour here and ten minutes there.
A huge Thank you to everyone here for all your support and encouragement, I would never have got this far without all of you.

Leonie, this is in large part down to you for creating such a visit-able website for me as a first step.
I am so relieved. having decided that it's what I wanted to do, I was so apprehensive that she'd say it wasn't possible and I would end up having to look for another job. This is really the best of both worlds, and is indeed a "next step" rather than a leap into the unknown. I'm quite a cautious person, so I feel happy with this as a gradual progression.

Well done. Just don't get sidetracked into spending absolutely all the time you've freed up on your business though!

Yarny stuff will still be spilling over into the rest of life, I expect.... I was reskeining tonight while the menfolk watched Prison Break. But it is the next step, and just that alone makes me feel more confident.... it's moved on from being a spare time hobby which earns a bit of cash.
Thanks to everyone.
