The wee black man

Finally got some pics of the wee black cat we found....he is a bit evil looking and quite naughty when he is winding up the other cats...but he loves cuddles and is just a mischievous baby. He has made friends with Phoenix now, they were playing tonight...Zephyr is tolerating him....Floss hates him

He has this thing about looking at you sideways on, it's quite disturbing...he's good at the piercing cat look that says 'I can read your mind and I know everything'

That last pic.......a bit creepy!!!!! Smile....Lovely cat though!!!!
Libby

A tuxedo cat! But has he got brains, the one we rescued hasn't!!!  Very Happy

he's a lovely creature coco

i bet your mom has really taken to him

what have you called him?
Kathy

He's still here................
Lizzie

Oh he's just gorgeous - I love that last photo  Very Happy

He looks very like a chap we rescued once -  we called him Biffa as he was always picking fights !

That last picture is really quite scary! :shudder!

Funnily enough he also likes to pick fights, he's a pretty fearless wee chap, must've come from some tough stock! Not sure about a name....E calls him midnight and we call him Petrie at the minute (it's a bat thing from the movie 'the land before time' it's pronounced Peetrie ) Laughing

However, I think that he might be in need of a name change, he needs a tough man name, because I think he might just grow up to be a bit of a monster  Shocked
Kathy

We could always let his new owner name him When He Goes To His New Home.......................
Lizzie

I do admire your optimism Kathy  Laughing

Personally, I've always wanted a balck cat with a white tuxedo so I could call him Jeeves  Very Happy

I'd like to have a kitten called Kaboodle...

anyway...

Nice subtle hint Kathy! Do you think she'll take it?
Lizzie

Can I suggest Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats (T S Elliot) as a splendid source of cat names.

I like Growltiger myself, but there's also Mungojerrie, Rumpelteazer or Macavity... Very Happy

you're having a laugh aren't you?

i think he is definitely a ......oh i don't know, wait till he tells you

he looks like he can string a couple of words together unaided....
Libby

I wonder if its just the way they look, this is a picture of Jake. In the pic he looks quite severe, but he's not

I am really surprised how well his move in here has gone, he is gaining weight and at long last has fur on his stubby tail

this used to be totally bald and he would chew it to bits. He gives Sassy a hard time and when ever they meet there is always lots of yowling, so far no fight though. I just don't think they like one another!
Kathy

Jake does look like our new addition.

Nanny, how did you know he would be staying...............................

Coco got in touch with our local cat rescue, Flossie was really beating him up something awful.
We explained that we would be happy to keep him if no home could be found but explained about the old grumpy cat. We were told that just that morning someone had phoned looking to rehome a young cat of his description so, he's off to his forever home where there are no other cats.

Alls well that ends well and peace reigns once again in catland!

A photo just before he left.

congratulations kathy

i am sure it was the right thing to do

despite what coco might think on this occasion
Kathy

The cats all sleep in her (Coco's) room and she was becoming sleep deprived! I think she felt it wasn't fair on the old cat plus deaf Zephyr no longer got to sleep in her bed, he got relegated to the top of the wardrobe!  Laughing
I was surprised myself when she made the phone call.  Confused

i thought Deaf Zephyr was a heavy metal group

sometimes or children surprise us don't they?

Well done Coco it is a hard decision and one I may have to come to myself soon, as Jake is really picking on Sassy and making her life a misery. I found him asleep on the landing last night and that stops her moving around the house. I think what I may do is bring in the cat cage in again and put him in it at night so she can't get ambushed.
Even harder for us as we rescued him  Crying or Very sad
