Morning RWR nice to see you.
My tip to you is to remind others who live in the house that they must share the work load, if necessary write a rota, lounge, kitchen, bathroom, 3 rooms 3 people then everyone keep there own bedrooms tidy!
Stiches are out, I over did it abit yesterday, as after seeing the specialist we had to buy food so went with hubby to do the shopping. Then went out in the evening with T for her birthday, boy was I in agony at bedtime. Bloomin knee!!!
This morning it showed 6C on the exterior thermometer, so we really need to start preparing the greenhouses for overwintering the tropicals.
The cats think its cold as they where all on the bed last night
Still need to sort out a chimney sweep.

Rest up today Libby.
RWR, Alison did daily threads last year in the Good Housekeeping section. Full of great quick tips for keeping up with things when you're busy. Scroll down the main housekeeping page and you'll see threads with just dates.
Sun is out again so laundry today I think. GPs this morning to sort my ear out, hopefully this will mean I can now get a digital aid from the NHS. Analogues are useless, all I can hear is background noise.
Have a good day everyone.

Morning all
RWR, our house gets in a state too - I just try and ignore it as best I can until I have a spare day then blitz it all in one go. But then we have a very small house, so it's not too hard to do it that way.
Libby, put your feet up and get on with some crafting today
Kathy, good luck with the docs. My Dad got a hearing aid earlier this year (he's been complaining that the rest of us are mumbling for at least two years now!) but it didn't suit, so he's sent it back
It's a glorious day here today - sunny and bright and cold, just like Autumn should be. Sadly I'm stuck at my desk for the day, but at least I can admire it out of the window!!
Have a great day everyone

Housework....I hate it!!!!!!!!!!!...especially as Lizzie says in a small house!!!!
Libby...you'll be looking back in a few weeks time and feel brilliant that you had the op!!!!
Hearing aids!!!??? Munty has 2 and they work really well...................................when he can be bothered to put them in
Going for my first light session today for my psoriasis. It's going to take 6 weeks of going to the hospital 3 times a week......but will be lovely to have a bit of respite from leaving a snow trail behind me!!!!
Have a great day all!!!!

I have NHS digitals - it's quite a shock when you wear them - your brain has to learn all the strange noises that you are able to hear. Really transformed my life.

That's what I'm hoping for Lottie, the analogues are useless, tried a number of them down the years. My first hearing aid was the little box type thingy that clipped onto your skirt then a wire came under your jumper to the attached earpiece. That was useless as well, all I could hear was my clothes rustling.
The GP has suggested decongestant, if that doesn't work then back to the audio dept.
Aggie, I've heard good reports about the light sessions and psoriasis so fingers crossed it does the trick.
Just eating a bit of Coco's choccie cake now, rather nice with strawberries on top.

I had a friend once that got a new set of digital ones she said that they would filter out all sorts of strange noises, & they did she had to go back to the old ones when she was playing the tuba as they filtered out most of the rest of the band

there is no trick to housework that i can see, it is just a lot of work to no purpose that has to be done....
the BHS people finally left last night at 10.30 so it was a late night for us by the time we packed up....but a good time was had by all and the star of the evening was our blind mare Min...we decided to try her in the barn to see if she could cope with unknown people milling about, something no one else has done .....we have gradually desensitised her to all kinds of noises and integrated her in the herds over the 3 years and this was a really important test for her...so thrilled to say she took it all so very well and was really calm to the point of serenity....she allowed unknowns to touch and stroke her as well....what a thing to see...
today mr nanny disappeared off on his own and i got on with all kinds of stuff here, tidying up, 'poote work and i cut the grass again...much easier this time as i did it last saturday so it wasn't too long...be glad when it stops growing if it ever does for the year...
it was such a beautiful day to be outside that i sat and had my lunch up by the greenhouses, something i haven't been able to do since the end of june because of the weather .....a really lovely autumn day and i used it to the full
tomorrow we are off somewhere near ammanford to collect some hay that someone has donated so that will take the morning up, don't know what the afternoon will bring.... the weather is supposed to be as nice so whatever i do will be outside...
