Thursday 19thThis week is whizzing past!
What a grotty day it was yesterday!!! Went up to Swindon and drove through Avebury they are getting geared up for the summer solstace.[/url]
BB the BF is on major medication for his hayfever but still suffers poor chap!! K got him to get it earlier than usual but sadly most GPs have stopped the injections and this was what he found worked best!!!!!!!
Not sure whats happening today, the little car broke down yesterday, the one we got for youngest to practice in the steering lock locked whilst driving
the Good News:- fortunately hubby was driving at the time
The Bad News:- it cost £89 plus £1 a mile to get it back home, we forgot to cover it on the breakdown
Now the hoovers bust!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes I do use one occasionally!!!!

Morning all
It's a beautiful day here today. I had a 'day off' yesterday, which I spent decorating the never ending house - I'll be glad when it's finished and they've moved in and got settled - I might need to take a holiday after that
I'm working at the restaurant tonight - I'm on three nights a week from this week, assuming I can stand it! I don't think we'll be overrun with people tonight though, so it should be pretty easy....
Have a great day everyone

Morning all, I was too tired to post last night!
The school play was lovely, all outside and the weather stayed fair. E had been casting fairy spells all week for good weather and was so excited when she got up yesterday "IT WORKED, IT WORKED" she shouted, and so the magic lasts a little longer.
Auction was a great success (I resisted the handcranked sewing machines). Got an embroidered fire screen £2, an occasional table £2, a box of greenhouse heaters, £2, old long handled garden tools for Mr Kathy, he complains he can never get handles long enough for raking and hoeing, £8, a massive compressor thing, god knows what he wants it for, £18, and a massive solid wood bookcase £28.
Oh yes, and that cow is still there Nanny, it's gone through the back with the unsold stuff..............................
When do your parents move Jellycat?
Sorry about the car Libby, they are so unreliable sometimes aren't they.
Blowing a gale today so inside I think, maybe get some more sewing done.

Sometime around the middle of July I think - I'm waiting for them to confirm dates so I can book some time off work to help pack/unpack/lug furniture around....

BB - glad Maggie and
Becki - glad Samson
are feeling better.
Nanny - I shall start ooummmmmmmming at 9.55 on Monday (5 mins before estate agent is due!)
Kathy - who are you and what have you done with Kathy? You didn't buy a sewing machine???!!!
JC - I hope you manage to have a rest soon!
J got stung by a wasp twice yesterday - he was stood there shuffling his feet around (I thought he was dancing) but then he suddenly started wailing and I saw a wasp crawling away. He got stung once on each foot. It took a bit longer than usual to settle him, but he was soon smiling and giggling again.
The weirdest thing though was that morning one of the mums at baby group was telling us about when she worked in a shoe shop and served a little girl who was shoe phobic because there had been a wasp in her shoe once and it stung her about 50 times in her foot.
Coincidence? spooky.

hello everybody
late again, getting later all the time but i have been trying to sort outmy brother's wardrobe for when he comes as it were....he asked me what clothes he should bring.....
the temperature in texas is 100 degrees farenheit and likely to stay that way
methinks he will be a bit on the chilly side when he gets here as well as wet
luckily we have plenty of spare wet weather gear and plenty of sweaters and things for him so he won't have to clog up his luggage and buy loads of stuff he probably will never need to wear the other side
the weather was sunny enough today but still quite chilly for the time of year, apparently the jet stream is too far south for warm weather....always some sort of problem....and the wind is still quite strong up here, lots of leaves lying around well before they should
so i got on with a few things, did a bit more of my scraping of the deerskin after having soaked it a bit, then the woman from the multicultural network came over to assess us to see if we are a suitable location for some of her immigrants to come up to, she stayed over an hour and thought the place was wonderful then told us all she has at the moment is a dozen polish women with small children who have no transport so not much chance of any volunteers here from her...
did manage to get out and photograph the orchids and a few other things so here are a few photos:
isn't it beautiful? there was a whole field of them
and a honeysuckle in the hedgerow
and the other side of the road the view was pretty good as well
