Thursday 8th October

Having said how warm it was yesterday we had a frost this morning all over the flat roof!! Only 4C!!! and 16C inside which for me is chilly even with jumpers and slippers on Rolling Eyes

The painting went well yesterday, I had two red walls in my lounge they have now gone  Sad  but it is alot brighter  Very Happy

I may make some new curtains and buy a big colourful rug!!!

Another battle is to commence with the farmer neighbours, he has applied for planning for a two storey 'garden store' which has 3 garages underneath but no drive way and is all the way down the bottom of the gardens?? For me this is worrying as he owns the field at the very bottom which is useless to them except for horses. I have always said he wants to build on it!!!
May battle commence!!!! again!!!

Morning all  Very Happy

Yup, it's chilly here too this morning, but bright sunshine.  I cleaned the inside of my windscreen this morning and wished I hadn't when I was driving EAST all the way to work - couldn't see a thing!  It's a good thing I don't live in a crowded area of the country  Laughing

We had another moonlit walk first thing, which was nice - walking black dogs in the dark is still a bit of a challenge so a bright moon really helps (I only tripped over them once today  Laughing )

Have a great day everyone  Very Happy

Well back from school drop and everyone is buzzing. We had a great night at the auction last night and we raised £5000 on paintings and about £300 on the raffle so fantastic news for the school. It has certainly helped moral too.

I'm off for a hack in a moment so I'll return to house work later......or maybe not. The washing up is done and one load of washing on so what more could I want to do?

What a great result TGM, well done to you all, you deserve a nice hack, just wish I was going on one too it's so nice out there!

The moon was still there at 9 this morning Lizzie, I love Autumn.  Very Happy

That farmer sounds a bit sleekit Libby, good luck with your "battle."

Just off outside, dung picking again, I really don't know how Maggie manages to produce so much.  Rolling Eyes
nanny-now and forever

hello all

fantastic day up here today, sunshine everywhere so i disappeared for a walk all the way up to lyn y fan, must be 5 miles from here and mostly up hill ....took me about 2 hours to get there but it is worth it, so lovely and there was no one else there...

i am quite getting into this walking thing...i really enjoy it even though i have sore feet.....i ought to take sky dog with me but she has hurt one of her pads and is only sparking on 3 plugs at the moment so i will have to wait to take her with me....it has always been an ambition of mine to have a walkign holiday but i never have anybody to go with as mr nanny is definitely not a walking type of guy...hey ho, maybe one day

by the time i got home it was nearly 3 and i had a quick cup of tea and a couple of biscuits before taking the dogs out and that was today really
Becki

Nice day here, had a lovely ride, waved at Nanny because it was so clear up on the hill Laughing

It was E's 11th birthday today so we went out for dinner and she has a friend staying and will stay over at hers tomorrow.

Thanks all, Hubby bought Jenny Agutter's painting and she actually came into school today to see the children and pay for the paintings she bought....she was most disappointed to missed out on youngests picture as she had only left a sealed bid up to the value of £50 she would have left more if she'd known as it was it cost us £85 to buy it back..
