Tues 27th MayMorning all, the wind has made it's way up here and it's pretty cold, not raining though!
The PC was playing up last night and I haven't backed up for months so guess what I'm doing right now. All Greenlady's labels and business stuff are on this PC, not backed up anywhere else.
Going out with Coco later while she rides Danny, someone is coming to view him on Thursday. It would be a lovely home so fingers crossed he behaves himself.
Good luck Janowl and have a good day everyone.

Reminds me Kathy - I must back up my photos too. And I hope it goes ok for Danny on THursday.
Libby - hope you get the washing sorted out soon.
We're doing nothing today, other than a quick walk (as long as it stays dry!) clean kitchen, take photos of stuff to go on ebay (see Frugality section), and lots of reading. I sat J down in front of his toys earlier to see what he wanted to play with and he kept on picking out books for me to read!
Wind's died down here too, and it's not currently raining. Cold still, thought about putting the heating on earlier.

As I am officially "between jobs" today I can do whatever I please without feeling guilty. Thats the theory anyway!
The weather was appalling yesterday so other than checking the chooks and a quick doggie walk it was an inside day. And what a lovely one it was. I lit the woodburner, drew the curtains and lit some lamps. Dogs hogged the sofa in front of the fire and I...........KNITTED. All afternoon. Once I remembered how to cast on that is.
It was blissful

Afternoon all
Brrr - it's like winter here today, cold and damp and windy and nasty.
Yesterday I spent 7 hours spring cleaning the office - it's very sparky now! And the best bit is, that was the last bit of office cleaning I ever have to do I'm aching today though...
CP, it sounds like being between jobs is suiting you down to the ground
Have a great rest-of-the-day everyone

much quieter here today...the wind had died down to a large extent
mr nanny went off to do a trim job so i emptied the horse lorry of all the extra stuff we took yesterday and then set to and re seated the net panels round the veg plot and surveyed the damage...no lasting damage by the wind but because the panels were down the chickens had a field day in one of the plots and had scratched up some of my seeds
all sorted now though
unfortunately most of the photos that my mate took yesterday at the carnival didn't come out because the shutter didn't open properly on the camera....there are one or two that i have yet to sort out
to be honest i was so tired after yesterday (i think itwas because i got so cold) that i was glad of a quiet day here to sort things out.....
mr nanny is off to collect a horse from a loan home tomorrow and i may go with him for the ride....and to help load the horse as i know he can be a bit stubborn......

Hello peeps,
A quiet day here, back to the Art Centre for a cook shift,35 lunches.
Strange weather, warm and rather thundery, the forcast is for more rain.
The good news is that Tom and Jen complete on the house on Wednesday!!!!!!!!! This house buying lark has gone on for ages. The space on the landing that they cleared last week has now been filled up with yesterdays Ikea goods, and the last bit of space under my bed is full of pots and pans!
We had a surprise visit this afternoon. My best friend and OH are over from France to see family, and called in to see us.It was nice to catch up.They moved to France 5 years ago, and say they don,t want to come back.
I need a soak in the bath tonight,my back is aching. Too long in the car yesterday.
Night All.

I have been shoppin in Bristol but by 2 pm I had the shakes and had to come home
I spent some vouchers that I had. I have considerably downsized my life, and I hadn't realised how much until I caught myself saying 'I'm not paying that much' and wished I was riding Samson instead.
But it was a nice day out, I took J with me and we had lunch together.
I have the vet coming for Brecon tomorrow, he is having his 2nd Tet injection and being microchipped. I also have some photos to move to the PC because on Sunday the girls went to the local show and got a 3rd, for jumping in the Nursery stakes 5th, for best riding pony 14.2 and under and a rosette for handy pony

Hope you're sleeping the sleep of the just Cookie, it'll be a load off your mind when the sale is complete.

You've called Mr Nanny a few things Nanny, not heard you call him stubborn before........................
On the PC most of the day, backing up and doing business cards. I did manage to get out for 2 long walks with the dogs though.
Bed now, sleep well everyone.

Yet another day messing about on the river....
Eldest frightening the life out of my by tipping her dinghy to the edge and youngest having her first singlehanded sail. Two very happy girls, hardly anyone turned up for the sailing surprising as its free but meant the girls got some quality instruction time.
They spent the rest of the evening playing together in the garden while we prepared the bedroom for hopeful arrival of decorator today.
Also prepared hutch for new chicks due today...no signs yet though.
Today is a horsey day so no wet clothes just smelly ones. Eldest at stables all day for preparation for a stablemenagement test.
