Tuesday 20th October

I think that the time has come to light the Rayburn, last year we lit on the 28th October and the year before on the 19th October. How do I remember these dates? I blog about them lol!! We have survived quite well but recently we spend most of our time in the lounge where the front fire is lit!!! The bedrooms are freezing!!!

Morning all  Very Happy

It's ch-ch-chilly here too this morning, and blowing a gale straight off the (north) sea - brrrr!

I have a looooong and boring project handover meeting today and then I'm not sure what I'm going to do with myself for the next two weeks at work - I can't leave any earlier for financial reasons, but I don't want to be sitting here twiddling my thumbs until I go - maybe I'll decorate the corridors or something  Laughing  Laughing

Have a great day everyone  Very Happy

Did you put that application in to the school Lizzie?

Its colder and very black here today, when hubby took the dogs out at 6.30 it was absolutely bucketing it down. Girls have got a cross country league race tonight so we could all end up very wet and muddy.

I'm still pondering  Laughing   The closing date is 3rd November, so I have plenty of time yet...

Hello

Wet and miserable here, I tried to ride but turned back, I am not feeling well and didn't need to get soaked!

Have a good day everyone x

Morning, it's pretty cold here too, although the sun is peeping out!

Been busy catching up with things here, lots of emailing so I've been avoiding forums, too distracting!  Laughing

Ozzie is having good days and bad days, needs extra care now though, keeping him warm and making sure he gets enough exercise but not too much.  Rolling Eyes

Hope you feel better soon Becki.

Have a good day everyone.  Smile
nanny-now and forever

hi all

miserable day up here i have to say, just right for a school trip...we had 13 children, 11-12 years old from a school in swansea

kept us on our toes, not bad kids but they were here ALL DAY or it seemed like it though they went at 2 having mucked out stables, had a question and answer session and each had a pony ride after visiting our "shop" in the office.

in the middle of this, one of the livery ponies developed what we can only assume was an allergic reaction to something that threw him into anaphylactic shock...his eyes swelled up, he had bumps all over him, really quite worrying... his owner was here actually helping out with the school children so we rang the vet who came along and gave him steroids, adrenalin and a few other things and we waited...and waited ...by about 4.30 he was beginning to recover though the vet wanted him closely watched till late this evening so the owner is staying with him and another volunteer in the barn till about 11 tonight....she will also come back tomorrow to see him...bit of a worry this, even the vet was concerned...

tomorrow is all change as well because we had a phone call from S4C who want to come and film here for trailers for the reality nativity...they want donkeys, we have donkeys...don't know how long that will take...then mr nanny has to go out to see one of our loan ponies who is having a physiotherapist visit to see if he has a bad back or not (it's a very long story)

groom still off, we are feeling much better if she isn't .....
