Tuesday 24th

Stressful day yesterday as K got a letter from the Student Loans Company saying they where giving her nothing, zilch, zero!!! She spent most of the day trying to get through on the phone to find out what happend and what had changed but kept getting cut off.
Hubby and I spent the evening planning what could be sold to raise £6000 Shocked
Jellycat

Hope everything gets worked out Libby and that they find they've made a mistake.

Another lovely morning up here, which is good for OH as he's away gardening this morning.  I'm at my desk until 3 then off to do some more decorating (we're about halfway there now I reckon....)

Have a great day everyone I hope the sun is shining on you this morning.
Becki

Oh dear Libby. I hope it gets sorted soon.

I had the results from Samsons trach wash. Nothing grew over the weekend which means that the chest infection has gone, so no more needles for him or Alison!
However he is showing signs of a hyper sensitive allergic reaction and is being put on an inhaler Shocked It's arriving today. I will try and get some pics with my CAMERA because when I googled horse inhalers, I thought we are never going to get that on him Laughing
Kathy

The student loan company are terrible for getting things wrong, I had the same problem frequently with my 4 and it gave me some heart stopping moments. Hope you get it sorted quickly Libby, set your mind at ease.  Smile

I've to help shift some cattle this morning that escaped and are now in the wrong field. I made the mistake of telling the new estate manager that I used to be a milk recorder...........................

Have a good day everyone.  Smile
Aqui

libby - hope you get it sorted soon.

Becki - poor Samson. I hope the inhaler isn't worse than the injections.

We are officially on the market now. Wih pictures and everything. There's already one person wanting to view it! Must get on with the cleaning...

deep breath in... and exhale....
Becki

He dosn't mind the inhaler at all. Which leads us to believe either I have a horse in a million or he has had it before....

What on earth is a milk recorder?

You'll be fine Aqui, you'll get there.

Off to have something to eat. I havn't actually eaten anything yet today *sloping off before Libby finds out* Laughing
nanny

have to say i have never seen a horse with an inhaler becki....does he have a pocket to keep it in?

good luck libby with the student loan thing, how well i remember all that....

good luck with it all acqui, how well i remembe all that as well.,..don't envy you one bit my dear....

not too bad a day here today, not always sunny but warm at least and no rain at all.....decided that today i would repair the wind damage to the peas and beans and used the little electric strimmer to great advantage saving myself a whole lot of work in the long run...one of our volunteers that now does the website for us appeared today as well, haven't seen her for about 6 weeks so a lot of catching up to do which reminds me i have some "grateful thanks" to e-mnail her about after some fund raising money has come in .....she is very good and it will probably appear tomorrow.......

other than that, it has just been one of those days where things flow nicely if you see what i mean

you need days like that.....
lloyd

I got the next batch of peas into the garden yesterday, another 30. We do feel guilty at ignoring the lottie right now though.............

CP's new painkillers seem to be working which is all good, and both kids have walked the dog tonight which whilst miraculous also reflects that they are both aware of the current chore distribution issues and are covering their backsides before the storm!! Laughing  Laughing

Nansters, looking forward to the open day, any more chores want handing out to stall holders  on the day?....Got your poster up here.... Very Happy
TheGirlsMum

Today seems to have flowed well.
4 loads of washing, meals made then out for a 2 hour hack.
Girls swimming lessons and swiss student went surfing so taxiing for that too.
Had to look out my first aiders certificate so that I cancover for some children being shown some carriage driving, and I get some extra lessons thrown in...

Hope things get sorted Libby and that Samson is ok
alison

You will all be pleased to know, as Samps is, that his inhaler went well tonight, and we both survived it!

Busy day here, starting with school run, then onto tactor place to pick up some bits.  On the way I witnessed a huge car smash, so once the road cleared I left my details as witness.

Went to ag supplies, then on for pack lunch bits and petrol at tesco, as I was in barnstaple.  Quick trip to Argos, where I bought both boys a watch, after one has had his stolen from the beach, as an event last week, and the other has lost his, sometime ago.

Beekeeping at the apairy, where I got stung Twisted Evil

I got given a queen cell, to re queen my hive, so youngest and I went and did that, so here is hoping.

About to lock up birds and chill for a while as my hand is hurting now, and I can't type much, where the sting is.

Why is CP on pain killers, did I miss something?

Sounds like a good day Nanny and TGM, it's nice when you get days like that.

A viewing already Aqui, that was quick.

Becki, a milk recorder goes round the dairy farms taking samples of milk to send away for analysis. I often used to get roped into helping with the herd, I like cows, well except in the spring when they get a bit "loose" with the fresh grass and the resultant deposits get fired all over your hair.......................
Kathy

Ouch Alison, I thought abut keeping bees but changed my mind!
alison

Stings aren't too bad Kathy.  The interest far outweighs the pain

I need a few days on antihistemine, anti inflammatries and teatree oil and will be as right as rain.

I did something horrible to my lower back at the weekend, don't know what and by Monday could only walk looking like I'd had an unpleasant accident.. Embarassed    I just couldn't ease the pain with anything I tried so,

Managed to get to the doctor yesterday, pulled muscles which had gone into spasm so he prescribed strong painkillers.  I rarely take tablets for anything but just had to give in, flippin eck, they were STRONG  Shocked but have really helped.  Can walk with a certain amount of decorum again now   Laughing  Laughing

Aqui, good luck with the viewing and hope the bee sting isn't too sore Ali.  Good news about Samson as well.
