Tuesday 3rd JuneMorning all
It's wet and miserable here this morning, but I'm in the office so it doesn't really bother me.
My mum rang last night to tell me that one of her dearest friends died on Sunday. She was a lovely lady with a large family and will be sorely missed in the town, where she was very well known.
Apologies for the rather sombre start to the day - have a good one everyone
PS Cabbagepatch - you wouldn't care to swap bosses would you?

Hello everyone.
Hope the funeral went well TGM ((((((((HUGS)))))) to you and yours.
My heart goes out to your Mum too Jellycat, my thoughts are with her.
Bovey, I can't imagine what you must feel like today, keep busy and take care.
I know Becki, it's a Tracheostomy wash, did you find out if he had COPD?
It's raining here so I've got the sewing machine out and am trying to finish a skirt. I've stitched the waistband the wrong way round 3 times now so am getting a bit fed up with it. A cup of redbush is in order I think, and hopefully my visiting sister (she sews) will have arrived and might be able to sort me out.

hello all
busy day again
all housework done and lunch sorted by noon and then the people didn't get here till gone 2 so i was well chilled by then
the people had a good walk round th property and found evidence of badger and otter......they are now going to consider what wildlife we will be suitable for....they were really very nice and it was a nice change to have someone here not associated with horses.....
they neve left till gone 6 and i have only just finished washing the dishes etc
that's it now till friday when someone is coming to discuss fund raising and then next monday mr nanny's father is coming for a few days and then tues. is the brownies....it seems never ending at the moment but at least it means that something is moving and that we aren't standing still waiting for who knows what
while we were waiting for the secret world people i managed to pot up some purple sprouting broccoli and the cabbages and finished dividing the polyanthus....
had enough now and all i want is my whiskey

Thoughts are with you cookie.
I didn't go to thefuneral and haven't heard from anyone. I went to the doctors this morning and broke down, my tears arrived at last.
I waited in all day after visiting the doctor for my decorators to arrive and guess what ........ they didn't, but I kept busy and potted up some beans, tomatoes then planted seeds and did some weeding.
The girls have had their swimming lessons and a play in the garden.
Thinking of you BB

What a shame Cookie, thoughts and prayers are with you, Barrie and your residents.
Tears are always a good release TGM, I don't know the history but (((((((HUGS)))))) for you and your family.
You really do sound busy Nanny, hope you enjoyed your whiskey and are now sound asleep sleeping the sleep of the just.
My sis stayed all afternoon, it's nice to see her but she does talk a lot! She did sort out my waistband though and the skirt fits Greenlady perfectly, I'm quite pleased with it. Just been catching up online and sorting out the bulk order for the school and friends.
Everyone is in bed so it's lovely and peaceful, I like this time of the night, it's usually the only time I get when there's no one around.
Sleep well everyone.

Not the best day of my life yesterday and I spent most of it trying to hold myself together, as I don't cry in public, and all I wanted to do was howl. My eyes are like pi**holes in the snow this morning. He couldn't have gone to a better home but I feel like part of me is missing - I just feel so empty.
I am going to garden today, and take Itsy out walkies once I have got 3rd party insurance cover for her. She spent the night in Fahly's stable as having spent all afternoon putting up the electric fence to give her just 1/3 of the field, we found the "charged" battery was flat, so it's been charging all night.
Maggie comes back on Saturday, but hopefully will be going up to join Kathy and family very shortly.
Becki - I hope that your lad responds to the Trach. wash. Sounds horrid for him.
