I collect cardboard, paper and twigs for my stormkettle. Very satisfying pastime. Free cuppa anyone?

Um, does this count as a suitable post for this forum? Should I be sticking them all together with stickybackplastic and glue to make something interesting?

This is most probably a silly question but what is a stormkettle? Is it literaly just a kettle you can use in a storm? If so I'll have black tea with no sugar and a touch of cold water

I stole the idea from someone else; it's a great thing. You just put a few bits of paper, twigs and card in the base and within a couple of minute you have free boiling water.

Great for camping. Great for powercuts. And great for when gas and electric costs more than I can afford Its another form of self sufficiency. Very satisfying... British Gas can go "$%^&*()**&^

Buy the bigger one if you can afford it - a little more expensive but more economical to use if you are making lots of cuppas. If you fill up a thermos, it saves having to boil a kettle every time you feel like a hot drink

What's the dia of that top fueling hole? Then I'll update http://www.two3five.com/experiments.htm to include a paper log maker just for one of those.
