Wanted: FabricI'm thinking about the next quilt project and I'm in desperate need of increasing my fabric stash. I'm looking out for old cotton clothing or cotton fabric with small print patterns (either florals, stripes, checks or dots). The colours I'm in need of are forest greens, yellows, blues and black & white prints. I have lots of pinks, reds and purples already.

Yes, I've got a pattern, here's some photos from the book:
It's a busy design but I love it's cottage garden feel. I also like the idea of being able to work on one block at a time, each block then joins to make up the quilt. It doesn't have a border and I like borders so I might add one on myself, I think a border frames the quilt nicely. It also makes quite a big size quilt so I might cut down the number of squares, perhaps drop the outer squares making it smaller but adding a border. That would lose the cats but as I like the flying cats I could substitute two of the houses with two cats.

I've checked those curtains but the fabric is a large check, no use now I've seen what you want to do. I'll keep a look out though.

I had a look through my material box (well - old bedding suitcase) and found the following - let me know if they are any good:
wide green and white striped material. I'll measure the stripe tonight if you only need small bits.
plain navy blue double sheet
white with small blue flower print
green tartany shirt sleeve
any of these any good to you? I'd swap for some reds and purples if you have any to spare (I don't do pink!)

Aqui the white with small blue flower print sounds good, any chance of a photo so that I can make sure the pattern is small enough for what I'm looking for. I have purples and I might have a plain red somewhere, I'll have to take a look.

I'll try to get a photo.
A friend at work said she'll bring in her off cuts for me tomorrow to, so I'll see if there's anything suitable in that look too.
