Wednesday 23rd May

This is going to take a bit of time, so will be reminded about every now and then.

The subject is wills. Is yours up to date? Do you need to make one, or change one?

Have a think about what is needed, and start jotting things down.
Pilsbury

Done this long before I got married after I realised if anything happened to me then everything I had would go to my Dad not my partner of 4 years so she might end up homeless and pennyless which I didn't want obviously.
We just got a will pack from WHSmiths and followed the instructions carefully,.

Haven't got one I'm afraid, although we probably should given that we have a not-altogether-simple family structure...every now and then I suggest it to OH and then we forget again Embarassed

We finally got around to having an adviser out to our home, who gave us very sound advice (it was a free visit in fact) and then he was given the job of rewriting our wills, so that all the ends were neatly tied. I think it came to about £250 all in all but was money well spent.

We did ours ages ago, and they definately need rehauling. Our last one was pre children, and the eldest is 10 now!

I wouldn't worry Haise. Little and often.

I sorted out my will several years ago to ensure that should anything happen to me, the house and everything (as in not much else!) would be left in trust to the children. I was determined that ex husband wouldn't steal it from them.

This has given me a wake up call, I need to revisit, think and pay a visit to my solicitor.

Something else to add to the to do list Confused

I can't even use too busy with baby as an excuse not to have done this one. I've been sat here all day feeding and all i've done is think i leave everything to T. Not that I have much. Most of what i do have is in joint names. the only thing that needs working out is if we both go together - some sort of trust for jack.
