Wednesday 28th March

Another kitchen job today.

Fill a pyrex bol with 2 cups of water, and either a good squirt of lemon juice, or 1/2 cup of white vinegar, and put it in the microwave for at least 15 minutes.

When it has finished using a dry damp cloth wipe out the micowave. Wash the turntable, and ring thing with the wheels on.

Finally with the cloth over a finger, run your nail down any trim on the outside.

remove all the grass from between the cobble stones in front of the old cow barn for same

hopefully use the hover mower on the front grass for same

if i get to it, i will try and dig in the top soil i dumped on plot one and get ready for the spuds i haven't put in yet

am i excused housework on the grounds of i haven't got the time?

Did this yesterday. I'm painting doorframes again today. Two weeks now till I start work so loads to do.
Leonie2

I now have a very sparkly shiny microwave that smells all lemony Very Happy Thankfully we don't use it much so it was easy to clean and should stay clean for quite a while.
lloyd

What cleaner can I make to degrease the oven? I imagine something with vinegar to remove grease etc, but that will stink. Ideas welcome. Very Happy
Leonie2

Warm the oven, then rub with a lemon juice and bicarbonate of soda mix to loosen the grime, wipe clean using hot water. Perhaps the microwave method that alison suggested putting a bowl of water in to steam it first will help loosen the grime too.
lloyd

Thanks, I'll try that in a sec. Very Happy
