Wednesday 28th May

Morning all  Very Happy

It's cold and wet and miserable here this morning - you'd never think it was nearly June  Shocked   Another day at my desk though, so I don't mind too much about the weather!  OH is supposed to be doing some fee-paying gardening today but I suspect he'll postpone it for another day...

Have a great day everyone, and I hope you've got some sunshine... Very Happy

Cool here, wind has finally gone somewhere else, it was picking with rain first thing.  I'm going to bring Fahly down and put him in the paddock whilst I try and work up some enthusiasm to ride (why can't the blasted sun come out?)
Kathy

Well we've got the rain now but it's warmer. I don't mind as it saves me watering the veg, there's no water supply down that bit of the garden and it takes a long time with watering cans!

I'm covering for Coco for a wee while this morning while the blacksmith does some feet trimming then I'm going to do a bit of sewing before my dressmaking class this evening.

Sending sunshine wishes down to Wales Bovey, hope you get your ride.  Smile
Libby

Miserable here too!!! Rain and grey, yuk! The garden needed the rain though so I mustn't complain!

Storm last night. And today the wind's picked up again, it's raining and it's so clammy I have a headache (stormy weather always does that to me).

The garden has loved the weather. It really is like a jungle out there. So overgrown! (more work, but at least I'll enjoy it!)

Just waiting for J to have his nap (it's getting later and later these days, I think it might be on it's way out - eek!) then I can get on with painting or something. Although I might just relax today as I'm so tired after the thunder lsat night.

rain, rain, rain ,rain

and damp and chilly so  this afternoon i put the heating on for an hour and i have put the dehumidifier back on for a while .....it is pulling water out of the air like there is no tomorrow....now i feel guilty about it becaue it is nearly june and one shouldn't have to put the heating on this time of the year......

went off for the stubborn horse and his mate that was to come back here.......

and no he didn't want to load, for half an hour we discussed it politely with him and then mr nanny undid the wire panels off the side of the truck...they are part of the round pen and have payed for themselves many times over....anyway....the panel came down and the horse changed his mind and was in the truck in 30 seconds...no messing....

he wasn't frightened, he wasn't even remotely worried, he just didn't want to get in the truck....

so away to his new home we went and then back with the other one here....all done and dusted by about 11.30

back here and an early lunch as the weather was too cruddy for anything else......then i sat down and did a bit of writing and finished a chapter that i have been sitting on and not knowing how to finish for months....

out of interest i totaled up the word count and i have done over 34,000 words....sounds a lot doesn't it?

doesn't look like a lot i have to say when you look at it .....

salad for dinner tonight and i found a huge leg of mutton in the freezer which might fit in the oven tomorrow....

not a hundred per cent sure so i might have to cut it in half or something

jsut as well mr nanny likes mutton because i think we will be eating it for a day or two....

We went to do the horses this morning but it was so miserable we decided to do food shopping and all the boring stuff today in the hope that tomorrow it will be nicer.

I have bought Brecon a new bridle and he has a new girth and stirrup leathers. E was on the last hole of the others and his girth was up on the top holes both sides.

The chicks are chirpping away next to me and it's a very excited house here today Very Happy I will ask Mark to sort the photos.
