What are you reading in June/July?

I have about three books waiting to be read. Jan Karon & Philip Gulley and a quilting book by Jennifer Chiaverini.

I am on book No4 of the Harry Potter series. I read the last one in 5 hours and this one is a bit thicker. I started it yesterday evening and will finish it today probably.

I am currently trying to finish the second unauthorised autobiography by Chuck Barris (I can't remember what it's called). It's very funny. I've been reading it since about Jan/Feb and have only read half - don't get time anymore.

and also "The fussy baby book" by Dr Sears. I've read loads of that in a couple of weeks!
Bovey Belle

A biography of Thomas Hardy by Claire Tomalin. My daughter has just loaned me The Interpretation of Murder by Jed Rubenfield, which is excellent too. I was reading The Floating Brothel until I left it at my friend's house when I stayed there for a couple of days.

i read the interpretation of murder as well bovey and really enjoyed it

at the moment i am reading flash for freedom rediscovered after 35 years and am thoroughly enjoying it

will have to buy loads of books to read on the plane(s)

one of my favourite things to do in airports is spend ages looking at the books and picking one or two for the journeys......

desperate of petty slurpings, i don't have a book on the go right now. gave up on the last one, just couldn't get into it. a serious flaw in my life Shocked

nanny, when do you leave for sunnier climes? bet you have more reading material than clothes in your suitcase!
nanny-now and forever

5th of july my dear and you are right about having more books than clothes

i have decided i need a completel makeover as every time i try to shop for something to wear i realise what a frumpy old bag i have become....

but nothing ever looks right now............

trust me sweetie

nothing will ever look right again

parts of my body have apparently descended into the pits of hell and i am unable to retrieve them

mirrors are banned and i have gone from power dressing to comfortable

sad but true

I still have to "dress" for the office. It really doesn't seem to work any more Confused

i think you reach that stage anyway where it doesn't work and anyway it doesn't matter

it can be quite liberating in a way

you have nothing to lise but your chains

somebody famous said that but i don't hink it was a fashion statement
Kathy

Well my trousers keep falling down, now I know why women of a certain age wear elasticated waists.

Have we gone off topic again?
Becki

Oh blimey my trousers keep falling down too. Shocked
Jellycakesforme

My Mum put elastic in the back of quite a lot of my pants.
Lizzie

Ahem - back on topic... I'm reading the The Child from the Sea by Elizabeth Goudge.

And my trousers don't fall down
