What do YOU think........is any one really bothered???What do you think of the decision of General Sir Richard Danatt that Prince Harry will now NOT be going to Iraq??? Should he go or not??

I think he should. If he wants to go. Everyone else's sons have been sent there to die for Queen and country. Bit hypocrytical if you ask me.

Where's the option for couldn't give a monkeys?!
If pushed, I'd say he shouldn't go for the sake of the other chaps with him.

That is a good point JC.

Don't give a monkeys either but if threats have been made then there's not just him to consider.

I don't think the men with him should be put in any more danger than they are already, equally no less danger as a result of his presence.

If he really has such high moral principles he could renounce his claim to the throne, surrender his loyalty, and get onwith soldiering. But then, he'd lose the priviledges too, the luxury, the lifestyle, that we all pay to provide him with. Guess he won't be doing that then.
Mind you, if he wasn't a Royal, would he even be an officer now?....Or a prison inmate sentenced for assault?

They both should have joined the Navy, then they could have served anywhere!
I don't think he should go purely and simply becuase of the danger to the rest of the troops!

He shouldnt go not because of him but because of the extra danger involved for the men with him.would you want a reletive of yours serving with him?
When you think about it they were never going to sent him anyway there was to much hype in the newspapers for a start.if they were really going to sent him would they have published in the papers where they were going to sent hm?

The reason I did ask DaisyBell is because I do have a relative serving in the army, my daughter........she is a captain and I was just pondering on the problems it would cause her if he was in her battalion(he wouldnt be she is in a totally different regiment) but you know how you think of things.
Lloyd, you dont have to be 'royal' to be an officer you know. Mind you she will always be my little princess, but thats just a 'mum' thing. She has worked very hard to get where she is now. She is due to go to Afghanistan in the not too distant future. I think that if the powers that be never had any intention of letting them go to do their job they should never have been in the services anyway. Im glad that he isnt going purely because it would put others at a higher risk if he did. Do feel for him though.............give him a break
