Thanks Jessie for the new section I hope I dont get carried away with posting though!!!
Before you throw it away, check its not worth something!! did you know that even tractor/plough spanners are collectable, your old root chopper or feed mill is now an arty garden ornament, cast iron troughs sell for silly money at farm sales. The vintage tractor scene is growing fast and the prices are soaring even a small bit of a tractor could net you some cash, vintage ploughs are stupidly expensive. an old fergie farm trailer with no sides or floor left could reach up to £150 or a decent one £700

i know very well what's in my shed............

the washer, the dryer, the freezer, a usable sink, the food bins for the animals, a cupboard with the decorating materials, the tins of paint that i use from time to time, the recyclable stuff, my wellies, a feed bin with coal in it, kindling, the puppy cages that we use to transport animals, an old fish tank that we should be getting rid of, 3 cat basket/transporters, one of those old carbuoys that used to be used for acid i believe, my bicycle, his fishing gear, an old curtain rail, my turkey saddles...all as neat and tidy as possible

but what is im mr nanny's shed is and will always be a complete mystery to me

I have one shed full of junk - not too much just garden tools and flower arranging stuff. That shed is due to come down as OH wants a small one so that I can't fill it up with more 'junk'.

But I do have another shed that I have turned into my own room.

Heating, lighting, floor covering, curtains, table and chairs (2nd hand so couldn't resist them for a working area), wooded futon bed, (bungalow so tiny that people have to sleep out there if the spare bedroom is in use). I also have stashed most of my hobbies stuff in there too!

Oh I have a phone and my son bought us walkie talkies for Christmas, just cheapo toy type ones, so that OH can buzz me if he wants to tell me anything - but he keeps forgetting to take his finger off after he has spoken so can't hear my reply!

pardon?

at least i can get in mine........

trouble is that his stuff will creep into my shed if i don't keep a close check on it

he has so much stuff that he doesn't know what he has got and sometimes he goes and buys something and then he finds one in his shed

and anyway.....

what does he want to keep a whole load of peacock feathers for?

every day he collects them up out of the playpen and puts them in his shed.....

why?

i think he is a closet fan dancer...............

nanny! that made me laugh.

my OH is the same, his garage is such a mess he often buys stuff that we know he already has but just cant' find it. the other week he was on leave so it's nice and tidy now and he found lots of fittings so we should have a light couple of months at the supply merchants.

I've got two sheds, the one at home is full to bursting point of bicycles, straw for the hens, soapmaking stuff, lawnmower and all the bits for the garden. The other shed is at the allotment and isn't too bad, it gets untidy sometimes but I tend to keep it neat most of the time.

mr nanny is just a collecter of stuff i think.............

he says it is because when you are at sea, you can't just pop to the shop for something

but i think he is just a hoarder by nature

i have managed to whittle it down to his shed and his study and one or two other little hotspots but sometimes i dispair........
