What would you do if you won the Lottery?

Just a thought. I'd give some to a few worthwhile courses, buy next door and the fields round the house, Numerous horses and dogs, eyc, give some friends some.....

How about you?

Go nuts probably Beckie, who wants loads of money, i certainly don't, it would change me , and i like me the way i am. Wink Laughing Cool

Firstly be very shocked as I have never bought a lottery ticket in my life (and I'm proud of it!)

Then probably follow SL to the loony bin.

When I came to my senses again I'd give the vast majority of it to charity, leaving us with just enough for the Aqui family to buy a little cottage in the country with a big garden, a few dogs, some chickens, etc and enough in the bank to live off the interest. Then in a couple of years buy J (and any other playmates we may have made for him!) a pony that's big enough for me to ride!

I think I've put too much thought into that!

I think that only slightly decreases your chances of winning Laughing

Me, I'd pay off our debts, give a load to childrens' charities, buy a house with some land somewhere and generally stop worrying about where the next meal's coming from.

There's a big limit to how much I think I could spend of it, so if we're talking the full millions, I'd still spend no more of it than if it were "just enough" to get a beautiful house in the country, with a bit of land, help my brothers and sisters out with anything they need, pay off mother's mortgage...

I guess I probably could spend rather a lot, hadn't really though that through, hehe.

But eventually I would get to a point where it would have to be the remainder set up as trust fund for some charities.

Think I'd buy my next door neighbour a conservatory too, she's been very nice to me Laughing

However, as Aqui pointed out, I'd be shocked, what with also not having bought a ticket ever Laughing

I never bought one either, what a waste. Wink

I really don't know how I'd spend it. But I know I'd spend some, save some and give some away. Very unlikely that I'd win because I buy about two lottery tickets a year, that must give me like a zillion in one chance of winning.
nanny-now and forever

a lottery win is normally a lot of money and therefore a lot of responsibility

i would like to give a lot of money to this place to ensure it's future

don't really need a million for myself but it would make sure the trust could continue without worrying so much
Kathy

Well I really have everything I want but I would probably buy a polytunnel and grow more. It would also be nice not worrying about how much council tax/rent/electricity etc are going up. I have 1 or 2 charities that I would give to and of course there are family and friends that would benefit too. Smile

not really given much thought to this, never have a chance of winning anyway, but i recon i would bank it.
then whatever i wanted i know i could afford.

cant really say i want much, have most of what i need, home, family, land, animals, but giving my kids and grandkids enough security to have a life where they needn't worry about things like mortgage repayments, washing machines breaking down, car repairs etc would be nice, they wouldn't have to have them repaired, they could just buy new.
