Who truely and honestly does this?

Now don't let Alison put you off, I know she maybe hiding round the corner listening in but what I want to know is

Who dusts their skirting boards?????? and when!!!!!

I do them before my mother visits and before painting, well actually I wash them then, other than that I don't!! Wink
Becki

I do mine. Probably every couple of weeks properly but I run the hoover attachment over them mostly.
Kathy

I don't do mine until we have to, usually when we move house. Embarassed

Hehe, I used to get funny looks from my housemates as a student, when I hoovered skirting boards and lampshades Laughing

I do it when I'm doing the normal hoovering, if you can see the dust. Now we have stripped skirting boards to wood, that may be less often Rolling Eyes Wink
Aqui

i don't. t does. i am the luckiest girl in the world - he does the hoovering and cleans the bathroom because he says i don't do it properly. that's fine by me! he just hoovers the ones that are accessible.
Bovey Belle

I run a damp cloth over them - the bits that show anyway - and normally only if I have guests coming!!!

Me too - or when they get so disgustingly muddy I can't bear it any more (but that's not very often ... Embarassed )

I think you and me were cast from the same mould JC . . .

I feel I have to admit that I might have come across more enthusiastic about cleaning than I truly am Laughing

More accurately, when I get round to hoovering a room, I'm pretty thorough, doing all the extras and so on. However, it might be a little longer than maybe it should be before I can be bothered again! Embarassed Laughing

Cough, cough. I am here you know!

I just do mine as part of the hoovering, with the wand attatchment.

I must admit mine dont get done very often, but as my new job is house cleaning, we have to dust the skiting boards of every house we clean, and as we clean 4 to 5 houses and flats a day, thats a lot of skirting boards Shocked

Do you have an actual schedual you have to clean to, or is each house different, set by the householder?
mc55

what's this 'dusting' word then ... how does it fit into the lottie ?

some houses we just clean every room, dust and vacum, also bathrooms and kitchens, some of the clients ask us to do other things, like ironing,,or windows.
we went to one house last week, and no one likes going there !! she asked us to clean all the windows in the house, and its a very big house, I think it was at least 30 windows ! they are a jewish family, and the womman has never worked in her life ! she does nothing at all in the house.
but most of the people we meet are really nice. one of the clients phone3d the office a couple of weeks ago and said what a good job we`d done, and we were given a £5 note each by the boss ! they always give you that if someone phones up.
one of the houses tomorrow is the huge georgian house, but the owner doesn`t follow me round anymore ! I think she trusts me now .

When I vaccuum a room, the skirtings get suctioned too. But then that 's usually to also suck up the debris from last time I drilled in the wall above it, and the brick dust is still there. Rolling Eyes
